He is literally ending the essence of football, creating a league where teams don't get there on their own merits, and even if they lose all the games, they don't leave there, it doesn't make any sense. Unfortunately, money rules at all

I kinda understand him, but what they are doing at least is good because finally UEFA is putting 6 billions of euros, so yeah

you're simply average, "If the crowd doesn't think I'll go against them". 5 teams will qualify for the tourney for their own merits.

And 15 others can't be eliminated from league, lol. So, such a trash teams like Tottenham, Arsenal, Milan, Manchester United, Juventus will continue to play. How tf then it called "Super League"????

it's called super league because it gets the most powerful teams in the world in terms of money. They are not being eliminated/relegated because it would be the same that"s happening now, people will stop watching it because their team is not there or simply because there"s not a good game playing. This teams are basically the television livelihood of the tourney.

you know, it is a group of people that are trying to push the SuperLeague, not just Perez. He was named ESL president cuz he's probably the most succesful club president in europe so it's logical

yes i know that, but the way he speaks in the interview, as if he was sure that what is happening is the best for this sport, unnerves me. there is literally no competition in this "Super League". All of this was done for the sake of money and not for the love of football

I partially agree with you but UEFA and FIFA are full of shit, they are eating the cake (QATAR WC btw) and clubs are tired of It (the clubs have all the power in reality). They are losing millions and millions and the champions is not giving enough for what everything costs. What I hate is the lack of competition in the new format and how they leave middle or small clubs excluded of the posibility of playing there and earning big money but I hope they change the format. I do believe this is just and ultimatum to force UEFA to negotiate for real.

its the best for the neutral fan, they just tryna commercialize it or whatever the english word for it is, the NBA, NFL also work on that principle and it works just fine, it is even way more balanced than football because every team could and can be competitive, with the adjusted finances every team in the super league should have about the same finances and resources available to them, people just hate change, give it a few years, if it sucks they will end it anyway

"or whatever the english word for it is" i think the word is they are "selling out"
2021-04-20 01:43

idk if its really selling out, i feel like football is way to bloated anyway, and the only competition that is really elite is the CL and this only gets interesting for about quarters, so what incentive is there really to play in the CL over the ESL for the top clubs, more money, better competition, more influence on the way decisions are going for example that miced up referee concept like the NBA has it is great etc, i dont really see a single reason any club should deny an invite to the ESL besides like Bayern and PSG since they are pretty safe financially and waiting how it pens out and avoiding punishment is a good move, but they will also join in as soon as its safe
2021-04-20 01:53
its not fine but ruins the aspect of building up a club. all just some random fantasy league teams

tbf, the big teams need money and the ESL will give them that, the small teams will keep getting their small cut as always from the local leagues and europa league. By the way, uefa and fifa don't love football either, remember that uefa just changed the champions league format today to a really, really bad one obviously for money, and fifa, we all know they're a bunch of crooks. It's a difficult situation, mens(( let's wait a bit be4 jumping to conclusions, everything will b fine :D

np mens, its even higher than what small clubs earn through UEFA, but the good stuff about the ESL is not all out yet as the hate agenda is going on rn, I think in a month or so everything will be announced and settled, also dont understand why people hate on ESL but not UEFA, its basically money greedy organization vs money greedy Clubs, its not like uefa cars about small clubs they car because they lose money from big clubs leaving

Most successful in terms of titles maybe. But look at their finances. They are 900 millions in debt and the Spanish government has to help them to not go bankrupt. Barcelona is Not different! He’s probably one of the worse presidents but with much influence. And that’s what makes the difference.
2021-04-20 01:54
Florentino Perez is the GOAT, all the haters and little kids can spam tags about football dying, while reality isn't the same as UEFA/FIFA shows it to you.
