GuardiaN wat doink?
 |
Finland DTeeVee
Do you think that GuardiaN will still play for a tier 1 team someday or has he waited too long? It seems that he doesn't want to join a t2 team and grind his way back up to the top (which is understandable) but instead he's waiting for an offer from a decent team. I just feel that offer will never come. Your thoughts ?

I'd love to see olofmeister back on the server especially with a tier1 team; however, I don't believe this is the best move for NiP. ztr is, at the moment, not an insane player, but he has the potential. Add to that the fact that NiP was not tier1 before he came in. Sure, they still have consistency problems, but I think they have consolidated themselves as a tier1 team, and it can only get better with device.

Personally I don't believe this path to be the right one. GuardiaN is out of form for a long time. He needs to decide quick, because his time is almost up since most e-athletes have dates of expiration. Eventually he'll get another chance to prove himself. He is such a likeable guy and one of the biggest AWPers of CSGOs early days.

Right now tier2 is the answer, get a tram that plays around the awp with 1 or 2 good players and go from there.

Hobbit? He was one of the best player in 2017 and after that he was playing in Hellraisers and Winstrike and now he's playing on the number one team. I couldn't think of anyone else at this moment, but Hobbit was someone that came to my mind instantly. :)

He’s an outlier for sure. Not the norm though. Everyone else has basically had their career erased unless you really pay attention to the whole scene.

i think all these veterans who don't have a team atm will retire soon olof included, but they are waiting with this decision, because it's scary to be a pro your whole life and then you announce that you quit. what's next for you?

If i were guardian i'd jump to valorant and just start taking pay checks to build up a pensioen and challange for titles there. Not because he's washed because he's still pretty good. But because no one is giving him a second chance.

NiKo isn't primariliy an AWPer, and on top of that, G2's team structure hadn't been allowing for a more active AWPing setup since the introduction of the huNter-nexa core.

I do not think so, but we'll see.
2021-04-27 11:38
kennyS and woxic for sure will be back in a t1 team soon, woxic has ping issues which is quite sad because it isnt his mistake that he is in such a shitty situation rn, he is a very good awper and will surely be picked up once lans comeback as of kenny, if you watch his streams, you can see he isnt mechanically washed up, the reason why he was whiffing everything in pro games would be emotions i believe,, since he is that kind of guy if a team provides him the space needed to perform and let him play aggressively, i think he still has what it takes to be a top 3 awper itw
2021-04-28 11:00
It's not that he isn't actively doing anything No team just wants him Also the fact that no new orgs are coming in and most of the current ones are leaving doesn't help either
2021-04-26 15:54
Every time i check his stream looks like the most depressing shit ever. Looks like he doesn't give a shit anymore and he will just stream/play with friends.
2021-04-26 15:57
I want to believe
2021-04-26 16:00
there are many promising awpers that could be picked instead of an old man but at least he is free
2021-04-26 16:03
Acor > Astralis Guardian > Mousesports He could bring experience to young talents. And we should give chance to Acor.

- he will not receive tier1 offers - tier2 doesn't pay what he wants / what he thinks he is worth it's a vicious cycle plus his stream is alwasy dead (barely reaches 1k viewers) = no income if he wants to continue competing he will have to make commitments which will always be better than having a regular job i guess

Dude has made plenty of money. Has his own company. Probably invested well. Cost of living is cheap where he lives. I doubt he’ll ever even consider going to a tier 2 team, and we’ll see if he ever gets picked up for a tier 1.

2021-04-27 02:28
i think hes a bit greedy waiting for an offer from tier 1/2 teams. he should sign to who ever giving him the best salary. that way he can keep playing and maybe if he proves himself still good a better team can get him. otherwise hes just waiting for nothing and he aint getting younger

knowing that he made a quarter million selling most of his skins YEARS AGO i dont doubt hes rich by now and if he is rich he wouldn't waste any time in anything below t1 tbh unless a new team was with mostly t1 players.
