how do i get 300fps csgo ?
xseveN |
Finland MichaelCosol
so i just bought 280hz monitor i have rtx 2060 and i5 9400f almost everywhere i get 240-300+ fps unless it's stacked bomb site with 5 players and utility etc. i get around 200-180 even with low settings for example inferno b site. i wonder if it's possible to have some configuration to run stable 240-300fps ?

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
Im the same man. Ive got a 2070 super with a R5 3600x and i get 250ish. I think csgo is just badly optimised

They have hard time fixing big problems due to spaghetti code. Thats why port to source 2 would benefit CS:GO a lot the updates could be easily implemented.

sure thing but i dont think it is gonna happen in the next 3 years. irrc valve lets their employees decide where to work and most of them do want to do creative things just like Half Life Alyx

i play high, 1280x960. i have edited a lot of settings in nvidia control panel, windows and some other tweaks. you probably should check out some guides to see what you have done or not. also i have disabled ingame overlay cuz i dont really care about clips

yeah i play at 1280x960 as well. I think its legit just some shit source optimization thats all
2021-05-05 21:49
Are you talking about nvidia overlay? Does it make significant difference after turning off?

I think it only matters if you are actively recording or using instant replay. instant replay causes like 5% performance loss on my system i think or maybe its just placebo that I have more stuff running on in the background. however, some people do lose a ton of fps if they use instant replay so you can check out if it affects your performance.
2021-05-16 16:20

yeah that i can confirm. i myself experienced a significant improvement in fps after disabling replay thing. but i havent disabled the overlay as a whole. i guess i will try that out too as it has no utilisation

yeah, its sort of useless unless you use the cs:go game filters or instant replay (because I will always just save a clip with instant replay instead of recording hours of content to get 1 clip). Btw if you use the game filters, you should know that the moment you have the feature enabled and any filter applied, you get approximately 10ms input lag
2021-05-16 18:25
1 reply
yeah i used to use the game filter before, but after the trust mode update, its no longer supported and so i dont use it (i know it can still be applied by launching in non-trusted mode, but still i just dont want bad teammates :P). i didnt know about the input lag though :O

I have the answer to all of you, buy a ryzen 5600x. It's absolute killer when it comes to csgo. My gpu is 1070 and together I average around 350-500 fps on low settings. Before I used ryzen 2600 and averaged around 200ish and then everything changed. Seriously just go buy this cpu

its because you have mediocore hardware
2021-05-16 17:00
get an R5 5600x and you'll have 500+ everywhere
2021-05-16 19:06
ryzen 5600x and problem solved will cost you around 400 euro depending if u need extra ram up to 500 cs go is almost only cpu bound and ur gpu is sufficient btw did you buy the asus tuf 9i20ti092340tj2j0t8234j09 one? in case u did i have the same :)

with ur pc you should be getting more fps. you really should check how much you have optimized cs and windows
2021-05-05 21:45
It’s not because 9900k just offers loads more cores and potentially oc If u want good FPS in cs go u need no more than 6 cores but fastest possible single core speed and ryzen apparently has better optimization for cs
2021-05-05 22:10
Ah and get more ram 16 gig is a must have nowadays

AMD Ryzen 5600x is the beast for csgo and only cost 350 or lower
2021-05-05 21:50
upgrade cpu. csgo is not very hard for a modern gpu. source 1 was released decades ago. go for ryzen 5 5600x
2021-05-05 22:13
Do them step by step> Make sure your PC power plan is set to performance. Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options select PERFORMANCE mode. If you have a Nvidia GPU set it also to performance here is a video explaining all commands and how to do it. youtu.be/9eUdp2x4YhM?t=54 If you have AMD GPU set everything to performance in GPU control pannel. Disable full-screen optimizations (Windows 10) Right click csgo.exe > Properties > Compatibility tab > tick the “Disable full-screen optimisations” box. (Enabled by default) *steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/91691.. Disable: text filter in csgo. CSGOsettings -communication-text filter=OFF Console commands : mat_queu_mode -1 or 2 it enables multicore. cl_forcepreload 0. Remove any csgo launch options related to performance like -high -threads etc. Useful launch option : -novid: disables Valve / CS:GO startup screen Loads csgo faster. fps_max 400
2021-05-05 22:13
-novid -nojoy -full -freq 280 +snd_use_hrtf 0 steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0.. try that I got 220fps in mirage with ryzen 3400g vega 11

Buying such a high refresh rate monitor is just setting yourself up for hardware upgrade, and of course a source of frustration. Those people that are so used to play this game at 500FPS, and when they run into somewhat worse optimized area, it drops to 300FPS, and they will call this game unplayable. But it's fine if you only play CS:GO, Valorant kind of game, but it's really useless if you play other things, you will never hit 280FPS on any average game.
2021-05-16 08:44
Buy 10600KF\10400F. Don't buy Ryzen, you will have more problems than advantages. Especially 5600x.

make sure your cpu has at least 99% C7/C10 state time when idle. You can measure that with throttle stop.

undervolting your cpu can also help in case it's power limit / thermal throttling
2021-05-16 18:40
Try to optimise your settings im pretty sure you can squeeze a bit more fps. I've got 3600x + GTX 770 2GB trash gpu and I run 330-460 fps constantly.
