ok but how tf is HEAP going to get 50 kills vs s1mple
The hltv ranking is meant to display the consistency of a team, so it attempts to disregard luck as well as it can. As to how much luck matters I dont think we can really say, but if you take daily form into account then 100% is luck I suppose
idk in pro matches but i do get a little unlucky when playing
i get insta hs one tapped when the enemy whiffs every shot at my teammate((
its not only about luck because 3 people can play great if other 2 not calculate their actions its ez lose and other teams lets say lower tier but came prepared play like a team
you don't need luck if you're good enough but being lucky can win a few rounds (smoke kills, lucky wall bangs, etc.)
pay attention my guy:
one team is always more hyped than the other one.
eg: team Y just won 3 tournments in a row, and there's an underdog - maybe even playing different tournments - and just getting 2nd place or whatever. but this team have some big potential
then these 2 teams fight each other in a semi-final, underdog beat team Y, goes to the final super hyped, and then upset by playing to the max
Luck is important because CS is an imperfect information game, just like poker.
look at gambots. They have 35% luck, 35% exploits and 30% skill distribution.
