Why so many people wants TI analogue in CS?

I mean yeah, at first it sounds cool: tournament with gigantic prize pool, teams will be fighting for it like mad dogs, there's so much hype and etc, etc, etc. But smart veteran Dota 2 players (like me, for example) knows that TI slowly kills competitive scene. TI has so much money in it that top teams doesn't care about majors anymore. For example, top 13-16 on current TI (almost last place) ~ 1.000.000 $ = 5 major winnings. That's looks quite stupid. After getting guaranteed qualified teams just starts playing not in their full power, using troll strats and drafts, etc. Dota just becomes unwatchable at this point. Also, Valve are caring so much about TI that they completely forgot about other tournaments. Just look, in 2015 Valve announced Dota 2 majors for 15/16 season. At 2015-16 Dota 2 had 3 majors with 3.000.000. $ prize pool for every one (9kk $ in total). In 2016-17 we had same amount of prize pool, but only two majors (6.000.000). In 2017-18 - 13 major with 1.000.000 $ prize pools and 13 minors with 300k (16.900.000 dollars in total). In 2018-19 - 5 majors with 1kk and 5 minors with 300k (6,5 million). 2019-20 - same as previous year (but it got destroyed by coronavirus). And now we have majors + leagues with 6,5 mill prize pool in total, but majors now has only 500k $. Not to mention that because of leagues there are not so much non-Valve tournaments, so Dota scene lost money again. And all of that because of Valve caring about TI.

The International at its current form slowly kills Dota's competitive scene. CS tournament system is way better.

You realise "saving strats for ti" is just a meme?

I didn't say that they're saving strats for TI. But on majors teams are putting way less effort and have lower passion to play than on TI. Teams aren't playing at their full power, especially top ones, because they don't care so much. CS is completely opposite. Teams are fighting for every title. IEM Katowice is important. IEM Cologne is important too. They're fighting for winning BLAST, winning DreamHack as much as they're fighting for major titles.

Do you realize that nothing is just a meme, memes and jokes are't based on nothing and unpredictable strats that can work 1 map was always a thing in dota, and it saved many teams from elimination countless of times.

I don't want TI, nobody cares about Dota majors, cs majors are great, I don't want nobody to care about cs majors

Valve asked people in the scene if they wanted a TI long time ago and people (luckily) said no, I think moses talked about this once's.

TI in itself is a very good tournament, one of the best in esports imo. But it really fucks with other tournaments of the year, is not health for the scene, although I do hope some amount of money from the Major collections is distributed to the prize pools of Majors not as ridiculous percentage as TI though.

Yeah, i think Battle Pass money should go not only to TI, but to other stuff as well. Majors and leagues, for example. For TI 15-20 mill prize pool would be enough. The other money can go to majors tournament, to tier2 leagues. Maybe Valve can even organise tier 3 divisions at this point.

TI killed dota, well not solely TI but also poor decision making by dev team was one of the major factors. Not only CS doesn't need TI, they should remove it from dota 2 aswell. Monetization model of csgo is x100 times better and efficient.
