school etc teaches you to become an employee

same with college/university work experience bullshit networking bullshit all to become a good employee and never find financial independence. school doesn't teach you about money for good reason! Best way to retire early is not by earning a lot (obviously if millions in salary then yes), but rather by learning about how money works and history of money. money which you avoid losing and money which you make from existing money is more significant than earning 150K vs 50K usd for example. That is how you retire early and the government does not want that. they want you to work for as long as possible. would rather learn the skill itself than how to become a good wageslave

well yea i put the money in index funds, but even saving in a bank account would be a lot better than wasting, just wait until economy crashes lol

time in market beats timing the market saving in bank account = get poorer each year for >99% of people

i would still get richer each year saving in bank account cuz my yearly earnings are way, way way more than inflation. i dont even make that much

I mean if you don't get a salary raise each year like most people, then they are poorer in terms of what they earn in nth year vs n+1

I read "would rather learn the skill itself than how to become a good wageslave" as "would rather kill myself than become a wageslave" but in all seriousness, you make good points.

It teaches you to become a proffessional worker who obeys their boss who has no education. It's amazing how people don't see this, schooling and education is made for you to have a better future and there's zero advice how to make money

no idea where you're getting this from, if not being a 'wageslave' means being a CEO or an entrepreneur, then you'll find bro that they actually have the experience of being a 'wageslave' behind them to be the boss (or they're just corrupt and greedy af which many are by the nature of the position) and regardless of what you supposedly know about money or how 'money works', you need an initial investment from somewhere ... like say ... a job? formal education may only comprise from 12 - 20 years of your life, you expect to come out of school with these supposed funds to handle? if the retirement system is bad though, thats a bit of an issue because if people dont know how to manage their own pension then yes you probably will be working until you're 70, to which you'll be on the streets cause welfare is fucked too most likely just get a superannuation system bro lol

no ofc, I am not saying everyone should be a ceo. that wouldn't work anyway. get a job, even a non high paying one. my point is what you do with your income. what you don't do with it and what you do do with it is where real wealth is made, more so than people who have a higher salary (that is not absurdly high).

gotcha gotcha in that case, i would have to agree that school does fail to teach an overall way of managing your income unless you specialise your classes. general banking is one that logically you think would be a good thing to briefly cover

Cause being an employee of someone is something everybody regardless of education has to go through to actually get somewhere nice in life also investing in stocks and even getting so much money to invest into stocks with aswell as even profiting that much from it is already incredibly difficult, it definitely looks easy for you but that’s probably because you’re just extremely young

Ok that’s true but how are schools supposed to teach this? Not talking about how but when should they do it?

It is true that school systems have not evolved much. The state does need people to work to produce, if we all stopped working at 35. It would be hard to keep a country going and keep the social advantages we have.

And another one who doesnt understand what school is really good for xd

I don't know how the education system works in Slovenia, but in Finland primary and secondary school's purpose is to give general knowledge about the world, after that it's up to you what you want to do. If you want to specialize in a certain field, go for it, if you want to learn how to become an entrepreneur, then do that, if you don't want to do anything useful and lay on your ass all day drinking beer, you can also do that, nothing is stopping you. Also, if nobody worked, our society wouldn't last very long.
