Boring? Getting profession / education is not always a top-notch entertainment. If you're interested in a field, it's not boring to dive into it. But I understand if you attended some very uninspiring program.

+1 watching people running after the ball is smh supreme? What's wrong with even being 60 and talk with people about subject you are interested about and other shit? The whole thing about being adult and what you should do when u r is pathetic, detached from reality and what people really are. Also no, i'm 23.

2021-05-20 18:58
agree. why does it matter what we waste our time doing or watching? i have multiple hobbies like guitar, exercising, parkour, art, used to play a lot of cs 1.6, then CS GO, now I don't play GO anymore but i keep pro matches playing in the background while i work, and i mostly just listen kind of like a radio. sometimes i like to read about the scene. that's why i'm here. watching cs go is no worse than netflix or sports, as you said.

No worries, you might do it tomorrow. This is a struggle of a young man in western world of the XXI century. There are soo many things you can do but you still do noting about it - instead you waste your time. Years ago you used to have tribes, nations gathered around common goals, big communities - now people are more and more disctracted from the communities, and there are less and less people that could help you. Nowadays there struggle means that everyhing is accesible easily - junk food, games, tv shows, porn, drugs, alcohol, social medias etc - a young man have all these things and stand complety alone, and he is not able to forsee the results of the long term effects of abusing these hedonistic activities. Your brain is filled with tons of shit information that you simply don't need. Try to focus on easily achiveable goals, step by step - don't expect that change will happen fast. Do 4 things as well if you can - 1. get rid of toxic people around you if you have them, 2. do sports (helps a lot) 3. start working on your CV and talk with other people and friends about job you could do. 4. establish a moring routine that last more than 30 min Good luck.

Well over 24 with good paying job. I just enjoy watching and talking about CS:GO, just like I enjoy watching and talking about "real sports". It's a mindless way to relax/get dopamine, from comfort of home when you don't feel like going out somewhere. What other activities that fit into this category are superior/"more appropriate" for 24+? Watching terrible shows on Netflix? Reading the news which is depressing/stressful and a huge struggle to peer through the bias? Following trending topics on social media and seeing Dunning Kruger idiots blab as if they know everything?

26 y.o with a 9-year account here. I only play CSGO on weekends but I follow the pro scene and have been following it since 2011 (particularly NAVI). CSGO is a hobby and for me, HLTV is nothing more than an information hub for CS. I rarely create threads and sometimes enter discussions I'm interested in. Either way, being "older" and browsing HLTV doesn't mean you don't do anything with your life.

Thanks, you too! Only irl "friend" I have currently is my sister's husband. Also I was afraid to tell my parents how bad I was doing before I finally had to tell them. I think I wouldn't be alive had I not told anyone. It was extremely hard but necessary in my case to tell my parents (strict parents so telling bad news wasn't easy). Also I've been on antidepressants for a while now and they have really helped me with my anxiety. I know people often talk ill about them (eg. SSRIs) but for me they have worked. Also I've talked to psychologist. Was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and social anxiety. I hope we can both first get well and then continue our studies.

27 here. There's a couple of reasons: 1). Habit. I was interested in cs way before 2010, so i could watch PGS matches and as far as I remember there were tournaments hosted by hltv that I attend (could be wrong about it tho). 2). I'm not following csgo almost at all, now I'm checking results or watching some overhyped matches (NIP vs Anonymo rematch). 3). It's the only international forum I'm using. Thanks to that, I can see differnt pov of other people on diffrent topics. Sometimes I can learn something interesting in high quality threads.

Csgo is the only activity i do cuz i live in a rural area for my job. I have no friends and im far away from my city etc

Feels like home here, although I don't interact as much as I used to. Some time killing is nice.

usually come to laugh at millenials and their tarded stuff. OR just check what matches are live. 20mins a week of this site is enough

2021-05-21 11:18
Watching game, used to be betting but I am stop since it is causing so much trouble for me. I have a big depression since my father’s dead and I cannot coping with it so pretty no lifer these days. Hltv is just like a runaway forum for me from reality. I try to kms sometimes but still be able to stop it. If one day u dont see me posting shit or trolling other bettor then pretty sure that I commit suicide already. So anyway hltv still keep me alive
2021-05-21 11:30

2021-05-21 11:31
