the map can be viable - but it needs a lot of changes. Right now it has WAY too many angles. It needs to be simplified a lot
I remember thinking Ancient would be a good team, but then freddieb left. Pretty much killed the team right there. They were all players I enjoyed watching too, but now freddie, draken and barbarr have all retired. Sad.

Ancient sucks. Way too many angles, too dark, too much ambient noise, too much green camo bullshit textures. Layout is bad (completely unnessecary / useless rotator areas). It also clips like shit and has way too many slopes and ramps to fuck with your preaim. A lot of the smoke linups are indistinctive shit like leaves / random bricks.
It will get like a year and then get removed and everyone will go wow wasn't that a shitty map, some wierdos will get nostalgic about it.
Ancient > Dust 2 and Vertigo.

So far, I like the map but I don't think it was ready for competitive play. I feel like A site has too little activity. From the pro gameplay I see, most of the time Ts are taking mid and lane control and usually end up going B. Both sites need work, especially A. Even teams that rushed A, couldn't quickly plant the bomb because the bombsite is exposed to 3 different angles. I even remember 2 distinct situations of clutch scenarios, one of them where gla1ve was in a 1v1 and the CT was in tunnels/cube and he couldn't safely plant and lost. Then there was another 2v1 for G2 where they had to plant the bomb and against the CT was in the same spot and even with time low they had to opt for killing the CT instead of planting.
The map plays a lot like Cache which is weird because I really dislike cache but I like Ancient (super far from being amongst my favorite maps though).
The map requires some heavy rework from the kind Overpass received.
