tbh yes, but HOW much of meat and WHY?
you cant just say this and expect to sound right, there is A LOT of more things involved on that.
Humans are what we are because we ATE meat, after we discovery the fire, we could cook and then our brains grew up in size and boom, we can think.
But thats all, we actually dont need to eat meat anymore as much as we did, and it can be replaceable really easy with other aliments. You can prove this by thinking about the middle age. In the middle age and before the industrialization, It was really hard to get meat, you would need to feed the cow, food you would eat, and for the majority of people (plebe) they couldnt eat, meat was just for the rich, and that changed something? no. But you can say: but they died earlier then we do. yes, as smallpox killed kids 50 years ago and not now, science evolves, and medicine too, one think dont relate to other.
Today is really easy to replace meat, saturated fat and cholesterol can be found in plants or in milk and a lot of more things.
There is no problem in eating meat, and is indeed healthier for you, but you cant say that meat is NECESSARY for our survival as a species, because for most of years it wasnt.
And what most vegan/ vegetarian people say is: dont hurt the world eating meat. almost no vegan/ vegetarian is vegan/ vegetarian because they love cows and threat them like a pup, is because what having meat makes to the world.
ps: ofc, animal mistreatment in productions exist and it shouldnt be neglected, but the biggest cause is the effect on the nature.
