and shower together after workout
I usually sit on a chair.
I agree that it is a lot but if you walk outside for an hour
excercise for 2 hours
then does it really matter as long as you take breaks and stand up and walk around every so often?
nah if u remember workout u can stay over 10 hours per day at computer.
Expected from flag
I'd be outside all day if i was in Iceland
It's not a very comfortable thing to sit on
I hate nature and I kind of work out in the mornings now, + I really like playing cs and playing games with my friends while having fun, distracts me from reality for a bit :(
i work for 8 hours sitting on pc and when i get home, i sit on my pc for like 8+ hours
why are you sitting on your pc ? The chairs haven't arrived yet to Iceland ?
what else am i going to do all my entertainment is from pc school is from pc everything from pc
People freelance, work from home, make the presentation, give them, kids are forced to attend schools, colleges from home. If you run a business, then you need to monitor it.
All these factors make people sit on computer for 10-12 + hours.
BUT If you just play games for 10+ hours everyday then It's already too late.
im for like 11 hours per day, 8 due to the job, fucking home office
I sit 10-12 hours a day and I currently have problems with my eye.. lately it increased way more than it was.. its inside is red and it hurts :(
Men, this is an extremely privileged thing to say. Setting aside that some 40% of students still spend all of their class time at a computer now, plus all of their home work. (And even those that go to school sit for the majority of that time) Every white collar job requires you to sit for eight hours a day. Most people in the developed world have white collar jobs, so... yeah. Most people don't have a choice. Just because you can spend time off the computer, doesn't mean other people can.
sometimes you don't realize how time passes
PCs are one of the coolest modern day tools and if you enjoy it and find great use from it, you should be on as long as necessary
I am one of those, i am working out now, but before that i was doing nothing to compensate.
I work 8h daily on pc, when i get in home i go to pc to work in my degree or in my book or to play cs and stay at leaste more 4 or 5h.
working out is for people with no imagination.
Look at rock climbers, their muscles are effective as fuck, compared to people like "the rock" who has very very little efficiency pr gram of muscle.
These days if I play for a long time, I try to stay hydrated and take breaks between games. After I started doing this, I didn't notice any health problems.
I'd say it's more about how you do it, than how much you do it. Of course if you do it for 12 hours everyday then you need to compensate to it in some way, but even if I play 6 hours everyday, it's totally fine if I just take care of myself.
10 hrs of pc/day is nothing, thats just the time i spend on hltv
Don't sit on PC, you're blocking the airflow.
bro i study in my pc a lot of hours per day, what can i do? say fuck you to my teachers and go to school during pandemic?
i stay 6 hours normally, half of it is from 12-3 am though as in the day im very productive
I have used my PC for easily 12-14 hours per day for like 8 years. I think I might be having some lower back/hip issues
im just in a infinite cycle of being on pc then go to bed. pretty chill ngl. sometimes i go down to get snacks and soda doe.
thats why i bought a Treadmill recently, i already feel that i sit too much.
I didnt care for 3-4 years living isolated, now i only keep myself alive bcs of my brother so he doesnt have to see how i destroy myself
yea i know... why treadmill when u can go outside and walk... yea if the anxiety wasnt so strong xD can only go out in the dark and walking only at night is not enough
It's the cost of evolution.
People who work in offices use PCs to works so that's 8-9 hours of sitting using it. Now in the year 2021 where you can use your PC for several types of leisure activities (i.e gaming, social, streaming movies, etc), that also increases it further. Even if you consider an hour of workout every other day, you still have around 12 hours a day.
The global pandemic we're currently going through certainly doesn't help either. People who go to college or school (take classes) are having to take them online.
tbh I sit on PC for 10-12 hours a day, and it's been hurting me
1. Not if you have a nice chair (Herman Miller and similar)
2. Many jobs require to sit for like 6+ hours anyway
3. Many other things other than being on pc involves sitting.
since most jobs nowadays are sitting infront of the computer stuff.
I sit 16-18 h per day at the worst
studying a lot tho
