wifi is known to be slower than ethernet
Is it really a problem though if you connect it through ethernet?
It's your routers capacity probably.
why the hell u askin hltv idiots
call ur isp or go to reddit
sounds pretty normal to me, wifi sucks
Getting a better router or an access point may solve it. If you live in a big place, it might be good to build an access point mesh, at least on the most common places that you use wifi.
check the max throughput of the wifi for your router
that means u have trash router
It's pretty normal. Have to have good router to have such insane speed wireless. And even if you do, your dongle (or phone) has to support it which most of the times they don't because they always have "up-to 1gb" or something
If it's 2GHz then that's pretty much it. Don't expect much coming from wifi.
Your Phone can't bear that much of speed I guess. Try connecting the wifi to a computer pc.
i have not read the book but I think its just as gruesome
Walls and other obstructions slow down the speed when using wifi, while with ethernet its just a direct connection with no obstruction. Its normal if the router isnt close to you.
You think your 30 dollar router will be able to transmit 1gbps download ?
Ur WiFi router is probably not good enough for the speed u got
Probably get a high-end router
check router manual if it can transmit that high
and also wifi card in laptop/phone.
usually manufacturers dont put parts that can go over 300mbps
what router is it that you have
i have similiar problem. getting 500 on pc and only 150-200 via wifi. seems to be normal
Not sure why you need more than that.
Thats normal. Wifi sucks distortion from other wifis/signals, physical barriers like walls etc
You might try out a different router with faster speeds, but i wouldnt rely on it at all.
lmao go buy a mac poorlet if u want good wifi :()
Can you test it after increasing channel width to 80MHz in router settings (this might cause more interference)?
what your wifi adapters (network card in your pc) maximum bandwidth?
I have 2mb download and 0.1 upload be grateful for what u have
Ppl have mentioned it here many times but you refuse to believe it. Its a hardware problem, either in your sending or receiving end.
If you get 1gbs through cable it should be obvious that there is no problems with connection.
You want more from wifi, pay more. Your internet is anyway already over the top so i dont see the point.
Disable 2.4ghz wifi from router btw, devices connect to stronger signal and might cause you to have cut offs in wifi when its junping from 2.4 to 5ghz.
Wireless speeds will depend on a lot of factors.
Which wifi standard is your router able to use?
Which wifi standard is your PC able to use?
How good is the connection?
Check your wifi standard. You need the newest wifi 6 (I guess) to reach nearly< 1gb. Also, your network card has to support it.
Best would be 5gz but then you have to sit directly next to the router to use it and then you can use a cable.
Me with 2 mbit/s internet: o_O
Sound like router limitations, probably should upgrade that
It's normal, i have 1000/1000, but 30-50ish in wifi
Because you should be using a cat5e cable or above. Using a lower cable essentially throttles your bandwidth
you dont need 1gb internet, nerd
You'll need better router
edit: Pretty expensive one
You need a better wifi card, it's not router dependent as most of the hltv network experts will claim.
I have gigabit at home, only hit 250-300mbps on most devices. But my brothers expensive work laptop hits 500mbps. Same routers, same network.
