get cheapest laptop for work, then put rest into pc. It will be better in general because laptops are way overpriced if u want gaming power
does he really need a gaming laptop? i think it is actually cheaper to buy a laptop for work and a pc for gaming, and less problems with laptop overheating etc.
I bought my self a HP Omen 15, i work at sea so i really wanted a laptop i could bring to work, picking it up today. It cost around 1200$ here
Go for Lenovo, cheap, but reliable
tell your friend to buy desktop pc instead and just move the desktop pc with him
Buy a cheap laptop and put linux (if is really only for work) then get a decent desktop for gaming.
>ask help for laptop
>people answering "get a desktop pc"
like other said, get a thinkpad from ebay germany and build a desktop.
i have a t540p i7-4710MQ 16GB ram 2x 512 SSD with shitty nvidia 730 GPU and it only cost me 330€
Personally I highly highly recommend that you avoid gaming laptops.
They either look like shit or are expensive, they overheat way too much and they're way too bulky and power hungry.
As it stands right now the best bet is a new AMD productivity laptop, their newer chips have a decent enough integrated GPU, for very very light casual gaming.
If she wants, she could then also try game streaming, it's probably the best option when it comes to laptops (if the game doesnt suffer much from latency, and rpgs usually dont)
Can't help with laptop but i can say that the wither is really underrated game good luck finding her a good one))
