They make money everytime a pc is sold in the world... which is millions and millions and they get replaced 24/7 so its just a money machine flushing in... they dont need to make new windows to get money.

True, but for those who make self-builds (which are not as good now) there will still be a few suckers who will buy activation keys.

2021-06-19 11:12
they just couldnt fix the bugs of windows 10 over last 5 years and more updates just made the OS prone to crash and lag every now and then. now they give up and going for new windows. to experiment again. tbh since windows xp, i have not been happy with microsoft at all. i use ubuntu as much as i can. best. even without an SSD, runs like a charm.

"made it run smooth" man. what you did? the repeated updates causing windows crash is literally unavoidable. microsoft themselves has called back many updates due to this issue. plus, OS isnt only used by people having good systems. in my office, i had a HDD-4GB RAM setup with windows 10 and it was a nightmare.

what bugs? do you mean stupid and buggy drivers that break with every update cus the damn manufacturer doesnt bother updating it properly? drivers and bugs over which Microsoft has no control over? agreed they do mess up a few updates here and there but they arent entirely to blame, apple feels great cus its a closed ecosystem apple has control over almost everything they arent to blame for the shitty hardware that you own they try and make it compatible which I think is good enough cus they dont have control over every aspect
2021-06-19 22:07

First of all, 50% of the time it is the update of windows that has issues. literally nothing can be done by the manufacturer beforehand to prevent them. it is only after ur system has become laggy or has crashed, that issue is found out and drivers get updated. Secondly, even if it is the driver issue, a user has no option but to go to microsoft for the issue. the source code of updates isnt out in the beta mode for developers to try out and find such issues. When you are directly updating people's personal and work systems expecting everything in millions of configurations would work fine, you are taking this risk of getting blamed for poor updates.

"50% of the time it is the update of windows that has issues. literally nothing can be done by the manufacturer beforehand to prevent them" 50% is a big number dont just go out blurting shit "it is only after ur system has become laggy or has crashed, that issue is found out and drivers get updated." what? "source code of updates isnt out in the beta mode" you dont need the "source code" of the OS to fix your broken drivers/apps they literally provide insiders for everyone to test and fix their apps accordingly, organizations even get more than what a normal user might get
2021-06-20 13:18

"50% is a big number dont just go out blurting shit" number taken from my own update history. 9 updates since Mar 21 (including one security update). 3 times i have undone the updates to solve the issue of "OOPS something is wrong, system is shutting down" or just poor performance at all fronts (cpu management, background tasks getting closed automatically, cmd not working, etc). guess who suggested to restore to a point before update to solve this issue - microsoft forums and my manufacturer (on different ocassions). the last 9th update i havent yet installed. it is still pending. "what?" english. read above statements again slowly to understand. "you dont need the "source code" of the OS to fix your broken drivers/apps they literally provide insiders for everyone to test and fix their apps accordingly, organizations even get more than what a normal user might get" firstly, i dont believe this happens but if it does, then its even more shameful that even after the "insiders" and "more" information, such issues exist at this rate. let me help you understand how microsoft goes about solving their update issues. answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/foru.. This is an old post right when i joined my job and this particular update became pain in the ass for 2 months straight. this same scencario was repeated in oct-nov last year. i dont have a proper forum QnA for that but this may help you tomsguide.com/news/latest-windows-10-upd.. but u know what mr. aspirin. its ok if u dont believe there is serious issue with windows 10 and even 5 years after its release microsoft doesnt have a settled protocol to test their "source code" before releasing. turning blind eye to problems doesnt mean they don't exist.

sadly no, but I was until 2018-19 until it became impossible to run most games on win7 and various ways that microsoft did to force people into using win10. win10 is not that bad right now, its still annoying and most annoying part is how they released unfinished product and ask to beta test it for years... something like it barely happened with win7, god I love this OS.
