Ronaldo doesn't care, he can afford this :D Drink water people, reject ALL sugar / sugar free drinks, these are even worse because of the good (bad) old notorious aspartam

I just hope that quite some people wake up and finally ask themselves: 1. why so sweet but no sugar? 1.5. because aspartam, what is aspartam and what it does? 2. why do these brands NEVER tell you why it's so sweet WHILE all the good drinks brands actually use the health aspect as main advertisement?

you are such a stupid person. Just because they dont use health aspect as advertisement, means it is bad for your health? Fk you are so easy to manipulate. Aspartam has no proven side effects. Guess you are much more Awaken than scientists

Yeah, how about long term studies of over 50 years without any proven side effects? Aspartame has been consumed for such a long time that these side effects would be evident by now.

Think about it. How poisenous can it be to be distributed world wide and used by billions every day with no major disruption in health care systems or, well, world wide consequences? Just chill dude. So much to worry in every product we consume if you start to think about it you'll get sick

they are probably worse than shady betting sponsors, all big companies like nestle and the coca cola company take advantage of third world countries, steal their water, treat their employees unethically and chase profits. I'd rather have a betting company fixing matches and stealing money from 1st worlders than big corporations perpetuating inequalities in 3rd world countries (even though betting addictions and stuff like that isn't great either)
2021-06-23 00:54

The point is that this is sponsored event, if you have any problems with sponsors, you don't participate in those, iftou participate you automatically agree with the rules of competition and everything that comes with it. The reason coca-cola is paying such a huge sponsor contract is players like Ronaldo, Griezman, Pogba etc that will be promoting their products.

Oh please, like if there's too little of other sponsors which would gladly step in instead of Cocacola. Message of health has been sent to the millions of people and that's way more worthy than a fine he could face. Likewise with Nike, I'm not defending him but now at least people talk about ethics of these things and stir waters of ignorance that these huge corps should be kept accountable. What do we know next thing Ronaldo will do a commercial for eco labour friendly company. But being quiet about wrong status quo is simply wrong.

the breach of contract doesn't actually hurt anyone (only a multibillion dollar corporation which isn't a person) and neither does speeding, it's effectively pretty similar, the only thing that can be said against either is that "it was against the rules/law"

So what? It's for a short time. Do you think people stop buying coca-cola after Ronaldo's action? Commercial's main goal is to leave name in people's minds. For example, when you go to the market to buy coke and there are a lot of different brands, the commercials you saw will make you remember about coca-cola and make you buy that brand. that's the effect of commercials.

Rightfully so, he just can't do that to a sponsor because he doesn't like the drink or the brand.

Society today.. praise and make statue of george floyd who threaten to gut a pregnant woman but shit on ronaldo for wanting people to be healthy, if you think coca-cola is good for your body in any way than you are in for a big surprise

2021-06-18 16:42
Legally they are right, ethically (sensibly) he is right. Props to Ronaldo for having balls to do that even at the risk of being fined.

Yeah - I mean I think he knew that would happen and did it anyway. That's why it was a respectable move.

Ronaldo's brand is bigger than UEFA and Coca Cola, it won't matter

Coca Cola made 33bln in 2020. I doubt "Ronaldos brand" is bigger than that

2021-06-20 22:27
I wouldn't mind but the water he held up is a Coca Cola product. The bottled water was bottled by Coca Cola. UEFA and Coca Cola emitted tiny dick energy right now.

he has the right to remove it right how uemafia will punish him?
2021-06-22 08:24
Well, it is UEFA's right to punish it seeing as it is one of its biggest sponsors and also the oldest current one I believe. Ronaldo should know better than to mess with UEFA's sponsor rights, that is the dumbest thing you can do concerning UEFA.

What they gonna do tho? He is a big personality pretty sure coca cola stocks Will fall if its Anything more than a tiny fine They should know Better than to Place soft drinks in front of the most serious athlete in health awareness

Like the water xD it was theirs I get they want the familiar bottle there but then place it bit further away Im sure if thirsty enough they Will grab it
2021-06-22 09:00
Keep in mind that Coca cola has spent millions and millions of dollars for this advertising spot. If I were them I would be kinda mad that someone and especially one of the biggest personalities in sports simply remove their product. You also have to remember, as I have stated earlier, that UEFA takes their sponsorships very seriously. I believe that there is going to be a huge fine. Not that Ronaldo cares, he has got enough money. I understand Ronaldo's perspective, but I think this particular situation is not the right one to push his ideas forward.

next time i hope that a pro will put away a monitor which is a sponsor for the tournament and pulls out a new one from his bag
2021-06-22 09:02
What this entitled moron doesnt understand is you dont fuck with the sponsor that is giving you the chance to play this tournament . If this hypocrite cared so much about peoples health and wellbeing he should start with his Nike endorsment and realise that the shit he is promoting is exploiting children labour and shit in asia , but who cares when you get millions from that . All these sponsors are what enabled him to play on a proffesional level , and what this idiot doesnt realise is that with the loss coca cola got from his little stint is he probably cost a lot of people's jobs. So he deserves a big fucking fine , and from the company itself they should sue him in to fucking oblivion for doing that.

2021-06-22 18:38
it was funny but unprofessional, deserved punishment tho. you need to respect brands sponsoring the event, maybe you don't care cuz you're rich af but small teams and players does, there is not need to be cocky and unprofessional. people wouldn't be defending him it that would've done by a macedonia or hungary player, some people is just twofaced
2021-06-22 19:09
First fine the danes for throwing their shit onto the pitch. It was sad to watch. Not only did they take luck for skill but the fans were very disrespectful.
2021-06-22 19:11

Agree with you in regards to throwing stuff on the pitch. It is a stupid thing to do. And also disgusting to get splashed with beer or whatever they've been drinking. It simply shouldn't happen. But it has nothing to do with CR violating sponsor rules.
2021-06-22 22:52
CR is an arrogant douche. Removing the bottles is just dumb, and yet not surprising he would do it. See him bitch around on the pitch? Throwing his captains band down on the pitch, throwing his little tantrums? Coca-Cola is a major sponsor, and as such have paid a lot of money to have those bottles on display. Why, why why oh why, did he have to do what he did.... He could have.. Ohh I don't know.. Perhaps just not drink any, like an adult, and ignore the product that he doesn't like... But nooooooooooo. Gotta make a statement. Coca-Cola is not healthy, we get it. But saying "buw-hu, it's poison wah-wah, they are EVILZORS company killing people omgomgomgomg" chill out. People can choose to simply not buy their products. Maybe use that big brain in their head for once. Think for themselves. But again, let's jump on the wagon and hate on the company because we have to show the world how "woke" we are or something.... Smh... You participate in a tournament and piss off sponsors = You are breaking rules = You get punished. Those are the rules.

This is actually retarded move from Ronaldo. They should fine him and ban from participating in next matches.
2021-06-22 21:13
he wont get punished but portugal will.. but it was obvious. they lost alot of money because of it and coke is one of their main sponsors

Well, Uefa should think a bit more next time when they try to place 2 bottles of garbage next to one of the most serious athletes of all time(actually, the most serious one).Ronaldo deserves a fine, and he most likely knew that he'll get one, but he sent a message, fuck Coca Cola and fuck Uefa, garbage corrupt org which would suck a dick for money.
2021-06-23 09:23
Ronaldo himself can punish uefa
