Someone please explain. How are they so dominant? Do they have a different approach to CS than others? Are they just so much better individually? Please explain this to me.

Also not meant as cry thread, i dont support navi. I'm just curious how they do it

they are very ambitious and hardworking

They have that skill of CIS. But unlike VP, Spirit, NaVi, they have an amazing structure, so they strat like an EU team, and shoot in a cis fashion. Basically, when VP and NaVi, Spirit throw games, Gambit don't. Gambit has the same aim as these three, but their strats are superiour on a majority of maps

So for example VP never shows up individually when they need it (example: tournament finals) but gambit dont feel that pressure and keep steamrolling?

Correct, structure helps them

Damn that young and never choking under the pressure, i wish i could do that lol
2021-06-21 11:12
I feel like this is spot on. The talent of NaVi with the structure of a team like Big, very little ego yet incredibly talented.
2021-06-21 11:34
Not gambit fan but i think spunj pointed out how these CIS boys will take these tournaments extra seriously than others because it's their job and it's harder to earn money other ways it just motivates them and it makes them appreciate even more how much something they like to do is part of their daily routine also it goes without saying that other teams have lost motivation cause of online era, gambit only showed up this year yet other teams like fnatic have declined compared to 2020

True. This is why i can't wait for LAN. I personally think they'll need 1-2 tournaments to adjust and then the'll own everyone again
2021-06-21 11:18
1 reply
true that, i think in worst case they'll finish top 4 in these tournaments or lose to the eventual tournament winner
2021-06-21 11:51
They were just grinding, they are practicing everyday, and hard work always pays off.

well look at the efforts of the gambit and drunk niko, just think about the goals that people want to achieve, a gambit, who were at home for six months 2 weeks. or Navi, where everyone sits at home, again some stupid reasons not to get ready for a bootcamp, again some simple problems with a girl, loss of motivation or something else, or bomich who writes songs, dyes her hair, just compare it with the desire and diligence of gambits

Well i mean, from what i've seen: Mouz announced they were grinding and bootcamping NiP are on bootcamp a lot Og are bootcamping. Looked like g2 were on bootcamp Vitality play the majority from bootcamp BIG are always with 4 on bootcamp and sometimes 5 NA teams play from a bootcamp when they're in EU. So surely, those team should get a similar boost right?
2021-06-21 11:30

I'm talking not only about the bootcamp, but about the desire and goals of people, the right approach to work, and for a long time, the composition of the gambit has not existed for 2 months, this is a long process of the team's work, which almost did not stop. It seems to me that if you gather a good lineup in Europe, and systematically work hard as hard as the gambit, then you can achieve good results.

young players so they have better motivation good timing, a lot of the teams that used to be good are losing (astralis, faze, big, fnatic...) online - helps them against experienced players because it would be harder on lan i still think they would be top1 even on LAN (just maybe after a few tournaments, to get comfortable)

Iem cologne is a studio LAN! So no crowd, but it is a LAN. I dont expect gambit to choke there without crowd, essentially just a bootcamp but better ping. The only big LAN with crowd i know of is the major, but surely there will be more

but VP in dota turned into full trash on LANs without crowd, while less successful teams in online became much better on LAN. There is still a big difference between online and no-crowd LAN

Is there? For me, it doesnt look like a huge step. I think for Gambit it will just be like a bootcamp with better ping

they will leave their comfortable zone tho And facing your opponent face-to-face also causes a big pressure (I hope teams will play in front of each other). They can get nervous because of all these situations, and that's where the choke begins

Well we dont know how the arena will be built so.. only thing we can do is wait

If teams don't see each other, then yes, there almost won't be any difference But I hope ESL won't ruin it, because no arena = no content = no hype = disappointment = no viewers = no money. And all players and staff will be tested for covid 100%, so nothing prevents them from doing it
2021-06-21 11:31

I mean generally ESL seems to be good at this. Can't be a problem. Surely they will see eachother.
2021-06-21 11:33
they work super hard, more than any other team, they have a lot of motivation, theyre young (except for hobbit), theyre overall just playing insane cs mechanically and strategically but mostly just the fact that theyre working literally 24/7, i think nafany said yesterday that theyve only been off-bootcamp for 5 days during the entire of this year

We do not know this as factual, it is just assumed Gambit will instantly fall off when LAN events come back.

It's both, Gambit are a great overall unit right now. Nafany has the tactics and the sheer dominance of the individual firepower of Hobbit, sh1ro and Ax1Le combined, alongside Interz who perfectly sets it all up -- It's an unstoppable wave of some of the most talented players in the world all in one team right now.

Yep - They worked their arse off to be where they are right now and then you get comments like post #36, which is completely unfair to the amount of work Team Gambit have put in. At the moment, kind of like a team on the way to having an era, they are the perfect unit with perfect chemistry, they have everything working for them. ^^

I mean even the LAN excuse is kinda irrelevant. The majority of tournaments have been online for 2 years now. If you fail to adapt, whose fault is that really?

This is very true but even knowing and understanding the difference of LAN's still won't stop the spreading of disdain, as there will always be opposing fans attacking for being where you are right now. I made this post here: hltv.org/forums/threads/2477640/why-is-o.. <-- It covers the differences of LAN and online whilst encapsulating the premise of how others simply treat this despite knowing the difference, which is in very poor taste.

Cheers. ^^ Overall I think it is fair to say that we do not know what will come of Gambit when LAN's are back into effect but I think it is incredibly unfair to Gambit and the hard work they put in if you discredit everything they have achieved simply because it was during the online-era, as that is not Gambit's fault at al. We're just along for the ride and at the moment, Gambit are in the driving seat. ^^
2021-06-21 11:41
they just play so well as a team
2021-06-21 11:26
They don't have bots in a team, 3 crazy good players, awesome IGL and a guy that fits 5th role perfectly. U can dominate scene only that way, last team that had no bots was astralis.

they played praccs with only top 20 teams for like 2 years and took all tactics, things from them so you can call them fucking transformers or whatever. because now they are mix of all tier 1 teams. its not about they came to tier 1 in january and became good team without any practice. they just know how they play. but one day tier 1 teams will change their gamestyle so gambit will get destroyed
