go for german if you already know basics italian is useless unless you love the country or need to go live in there for personal/particular reason portuguese is only spoken in brazil, angola, mozambique and few very small nations outside of portugal so idk how useful it can be either

true. the biggest difference between languages like portuguese and russian is that russians are everywhere and even though there are a bit more portuguese native speakers, in reality, there are way way way more russian-speaking people and way higher chance to meet someone who speak it

Portuguese is indeed a complex and difficult language to start learning and speaking. However, it's a very rich language in its own way. There are a lot of synonyms and rules of writting (many more than English, for example) and that's the beauty of it. You can play with the language. Just change the order of the words in a phrase and get multiple different meanings. Poems can have a special feeling when you really know the language, because of the richness of Portuguese. In music there are a lot of unique genres in Portuguese of Brazil (I can't tell much about Portugal). So, if you are willing to deeply learn Portuguese, you'll be certainly compensated. Nonetheless, it's not a language that you will use global speaking. German, for example, can be more important when it comes to it. That's my view about Portuguese, I'm not an expert tho.

Choosing a language to learn is very personal and you should consider what you want first. If you are asking which one is the most useful one to learn... that comes down to your personal situation and desires. If you are learning languages for fun... then learn a bit of each and see which one you like the most.

Learn Portuguese. I believe that Portuguese is the most complex of all, but everyone there has a certain level of complexity. However, if you learn Portuguese, you will understand a lot of Spanish and Italian. About German, Come to Brazil. Southern Brazil was colonized by Germans and for sure you can learn the language more practically. In other words, if you are learning Portuguese and coming to Brazil, you will learn to speak a little of everything.
