how you usually study? I know a person who can study for 8 hours in a row, he eats 2 times during day, in the morning and in the late evening.

For sure its well worth if you know what you want from life. The problem i have in my country ( and in a lot more in this region ) is that kids are supposed to learn all kind of shit but at the end of the day , they finish the high-school asking themselves what the fuck are they going to do later because they are forced to join an university but most of them dont even know what they want from life

+1 same in Russia lots of people are going to university without knowing if they like it actually or not. They are avoiding russian military by doing this (in russia we have enlisted military so all the people who ended school have to go military unless you go to university)

i think the best way to solve this would be a gap year to actually discover yourself. Try different things with 0 pressure and see what you love and what you hate. The problem is that 95% of the parents would never allow that and the society will also judge you calling you stupid for not making it into a university like the kid next door

I have all my notes in MSWord usually. I edit it to give some aesthetic and use different colors for important sentences. It was much harder for me to learn when i had one big sentence to read. If i can't give my notes aesthetic look I just separate paragraphs. After doing all things above I just read it and explain it to myself.

pay attention in class. cram at max 2 days before. I usually just do the night before and the morning of I study by reading the notes until I can recite them, it usually takes 4 readings to stick, testing your ability to recall from your verbal memory (recognizing/recalling something that you've seen before). For example, I read the word Thomas Jefferson and then I try to recite everything I have about him in my notes before I read the notes. I got 5's (max score) on 3 subject exams with 3 hours of studying total. Also an ivy leaguer from hicktown. I am good at studying

Usually, I read the lecture notes and work out problems and then I verbally explain everything I've gone over to myself by memory. It's like lecturing to yourself and is a really great way to see if you've really understood the concepts.
2021-07-20 19:11
It really depends what you study and at what level. If you study medicine then 8h of study isn't even that much :) I used to study few hours through the day and then from 10 pm - 3am mostly, because everything was quiet at the house then, nobody coming/leaving your room, nobody walking up and down making nouses and disturbing you.
