language fluency

You still dont understand what does it mean to be fluent in a language. Most people here are not even truly FLUENT in English ffs. You only overestimate your abillity, it all comes down to the well known old Dunning Kruger effect.

What's your point in making this post? Does this relate to people struggling to communicate in International teams?

Technically yes. I was doing B2(I think thats one before C1, if not, then I was doing one before C1), but i had to leave it bcz of time and money. But from one before C1 onwards is alright, although experience helps way more, i've talked with a lot of English people which rlly helped me, and they understood me pretty well too.

If you are asking purely for level - yes it is good for sure - C2 is only one above. But even that can be distinguished. Cambridge has a scale (scores). C1 level is between 180-200. Low 180s are less proficient than 195-200.

I did a b2 test certificate, but they told me I could get a c1 certificate since I got like 187 on the scorecard

Pretty sure the person posting it cares. And you cared enough to post a reply to his post which is an irony in itself. Does that answer your question?

are you mad that I can go in a foreign country and speak as good as native people of that country?
2021-07-22 15:41
English is my second language but I'm more than certain that my proficiency is beyond fluent lol, I mean when compared to other major European languages it really is quite a lot simpler lol. Most Euros can obtain pretty good mastery of the language quite quickly, but it doesn't even matter since the bar to be effectively fluent (as in your English is 100% comprehensible) is very low. Most HLTV users make little errors but either way that wouldn't matter since ten times out of ten you understand what they are saying basically perfectly.

fluent adjective adjective: fluent 1. able to express oneself easily and articulately. "a fluent speaker and writer on technical subjects" h able to speak or write a particular foreign language easily and accurately. "she became fluent in French and German" h have a (good) command of (of a foreign language) spoken accurately and with facility. "he spoke fluent Spanish" 2. smoothly graceful and effortless. "his style of play was fast and fluent"

Following HLTV-comments inevitably leads to losing any proper english skills you have semiskilled so far. Honestly. What is this? "mens" "cry is free" "jermans" "who asked" "bait" "flair checks out" "didn't age well" and what not. Every thread is literally the same - there is virtually no difference between an honest question about social phenomena or "coldzera washed up?!?!" 90 % of the answere will consist out of the terms mentioned above.

You have low IQ , right? You realize that English is not compulsory language in some countries? :) Who said that English is compulsory in my educational system? What does it then say about my education if I didnt have English in school ? Is English the only major in universities? You have low intelligence, im more intelligent than your whole family. Your IQ is below 100.

You seem insecure about your intelligence. You make threads asking about how many languages people can speak. Then when people answer and tell they speak 5 languages fluently you question them and and keep talking about this cognitive bias. And know you make another one.

There are non native speakers with university degrees who are fluent in English but are dumb, dont worry, it says nothing about how smart you are etc. You might just have other strengths than learning languages.

English is actually one of my strengths, although I feel like it could be a lot better, and I'm forgetting a portion of my English knowledge every day... the problem is programming, but I will eventually get trough that as well, successful people never say "can't", instead they ask "how can I?"
