depends where in germany
saxony and the other east bundesländer generally dont really like foreigners while northrhine westfalia and Hesse are more likely to be friendly towards you
they will think you are a refugee
I learned German in highschool, most Germans can speak English well (from what I know) and the language is pretty easy to understand if you know a couple of phrases (just similar to English). You'll be just fine, no stress :D
germans are weird people
they always look so serious
much love to the neighbour though
Just be nice and you will have a lot of fun and meet nice people.. like anywhere else in the world.
spread love guys!
Where are you from?
well, I think everyone here has a different experience of Germany and Germans, so I will just say good luck to you, random stranger
How come everyone but Germans are saying bad things
Sometimes you will get the rude treatment if you don't speak German
yes, dont go to east germany
just westberlin u can visit there
I hope you go to west Germany. In the east (former DDR) people are known to not really like people from other countries but in the west it should be fine. If you dont understand German at all it will be difficult because teachers will continue to make their classes in German I guess. But im pretty sure you will find some nice people.
I dont know where you are staying but if you are not visiting small villages in the east you will be fine with english and no one discriminate you
If you see a guy above 50s don't expect him to speak English.
They will mostly ask you "How much cost the fish?" Cuz it was a big hit in 90-2000
You should be fine. I've always been having a great experience in Germany, most people are great and very similar culture to what i'm used to here in Sweden.
Drunk germans can be even more fun, i even managed to make a whole bar cheer after i yelled "wollt ihr den totalen Krieg?"
depends where u move i think, in berlin no one had problem with english unless they were like 40-50 years+
learn a bit german for casual greeting and conversation, stay out of trouble, be nice to elder people, be punctual, dont steal, dont litter, dont be rude
everybody will welcome u with open arms and u will get friends and help offers very fast!
depending where you go. Cities like Berlin(shithole) and Hamburg ( best city in germany ) are pretty open and you will get along well with just speaking english. But everyone will appreciateif you at least try to learn and speak german. hopefully you are up to drink beer every day of the week, as this is important for a student.
good luck and have a nice time.
90 percent of young people can speak english still try to learn some basic German words
Where arw you moving to?
where do you want to live in germany? armenia christians are welcome here.
I would like to thank the HLTV moderation for just banning comments, instead of nuking the entire thread.

nice, great country, good luck
Where are you going to be?
I moved to Germany 4 years ago, to Nürnberg to be precise.
Beautiful city. Not too big or too small, just the right size.
If you are nice, people are nice too, Germans especially. Most of the younger population speaks English, but you should put some effort into learning German. It will do you good in general, and people like to see that you are trying to assimilate.
Racism wise, I only had bad experiences with other foreigners, particularly from middle east and southeast Asia (Afghanistan). It was totally unprovoked but it is still a subjective experience so take it with a grain of salt
happy for you! tell us more about how you did it, would be interesting for some.
Yay more people of color to germany
your english doesnt look fluent bro nt
Are you a christian, muslim or non-religious?
I've done exchange program to Germany as well back to 2019.
It was Konstanz and ppl pretty adult ppl there barely speak English, students though are fine
(I had English program)
Germany is a great place to live, specially because of the gloryhole community that is in there
