All of you do realize however that this "15/30 sec video trend" went viral. Companies are now just leeching off our time spent on these apps and attention spans, Because no one now sits to watch a 2 hr documentary anymore. Just another example of how these tech giants never meant to "better your life" as some tech stans believe they do. I firmly believe these products decrease our attention span + make us content addicted, even the content we didn't ask for. Just my take. You can agree /disagree

They for sure are, its malicious business practice that cant be proven but you know is happening Companies only ever care about money, who suffers, what issues are created from their products, they dont ever think about

My belief is, they already know about how their product is gonna work, like they develop algorithms such that we spend more time on XYZ app

I hate it but doesn't suprise me, the average youth cannot focus longer than 1 min eitherway so. Also typically filmed in vertical layout. 🤢 Take your TikTok BS back to where the shit belongs -Boomer checks himself out

I think videos needed to be 2 or 5 minute long to be monetized. Now they just monetize everything that can't be monetized by placing ads on them. I don't see how this move benefits them at all unless they wanted to attract the tiktok users

As I know from some youtubers, they said it needed 10 mins to be monetized.

some are okay, most of them are just cringe tiktok videos that make me glad that the syrian children who are getting blown up everyday do not have to at least witness this
2021-07-23 21:14
Even 15 years ago, the world was so good. I feel sad for present and future kids.
2021-07-23 21:20
You can opt out. Just don't watch it.
2021-07-23 21:25
Peoples attention spans are so short they can only watch 60seconds and less videos. the industrial revolution....
