no, like why they don't play other tournaments?

because a lot of the tournaments its only partnered teams who get invites. like blast
2021-07-24 12:00
What tournaments? They did not qualify for Cologne or EPL or Blast Finals. Nothing else was played after IEM Summer

they are good enough to be invited to t1 tournaments so they don't need to prove themselves in lower tier tournaments but they don't get invited for reasons so they don't play

- they cant climb in the rankings if they dont play t1 competition - t1 competition invites are mostly based off being partnered or high in the rankings : snowballing for the big ones - fpx doesnt get invited -start at the top again fnatic being #50 esl ranking but also being partnered and getting invited to epl just shows how non-competitive this shit is

bnb were invited @ cologne because of the ESL ranking (they were higher than fpx) despite fpw playing both iem summer and Flashpoint 3

yeah, first im not sure how fpx did on those events but mainly this is just unlucky because esl has to handle NA and EU competition in one ranking. They was no possible comparison. you can tell that BNB climbed a lil too much just for winning NA ESEA premier but they climbed more than FPX, cause esl just weighted the competitions weirdly.

No one is getting invited to tournaments anymore lol. You’re either partner team or qualify

hltv.org/events/5898/iem-cologne-2021-pl.. "ESL World Ranking" they were invited because they were high enough in ESL ranking

That’s called qualification through rankings. Invites used to be a thing where organizers decided what teams they wanted in their tourney and sent them an invite

That's called invitation based on ranking

Lol its not. You’re dumb. Qualification, because you need to perform to get to the tournament. And you now ahead, that you need to do this and this to play that tournament Invites are just random selection of the organizers based on their apetite

You are just making up terms and call others dumb lol. It's just semantics my friend.

In that case qualification does not exist and all teams are just invited to the tournaments because they won qualification or are high enough in rankings lol

You can go there, sure. But in the context of csgo there has always been a distinction of qualifiers for events, and invites based on whatever reason.

You do realize that 99% of invites have always been based on rankings

They reached their peak I guess. Farlig did not turn up to be what everybody hyped him to be and they got kind of stuck I guess

you can't say that because they don't play in enough events farlig had to be better than Maikelele, which he is, everyone on the team can have a godlike game and carry them, it's not really up to him to do that

He is far better than Maikelele for sure, he is even better than some t1 awpers IMHO (poizon, cerq) but they just don't seem convincing enough for me as a 5 man squad. Not that I watched all of their games but from what I have seen, I really don't see them in top 10, even if they got invites and stuff

maybe they wouldn't make to the top10 but there are 16 teams in a event (I do believe they're in the top16) even 24 @ Cologne and they don't get invited

Fair point there, can't argue with that. In any case, I wish them all the best on their future endeavors
2021-07-24 12:36
Sadly for them the ESL ranking is fucked so bad news bears got invited over them for Cologne

Kinda sad they don't get to play in these recent tier 1 tournaments, I know this team is capable of upsetting anyone. Better luck to them in the future.
