ok mr epic gameur XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
+1 but the average gamer is a casual so naturally it will get a reputation for being hard. Only superior HLTV mens know its easy
Indeed. Hardest thing about that game is trying to find the quit game button when first playing.
Game is only very punishing and infuriating, not hard
No, it's considered "hard" in general. Just because you don't find the game difficult doesn't mean it isn't generally considered a hard game, it's subjective.
Yes the difficulty of Dark Souls is overrated by the media but it still spawned an entire genre of difficulty on its own merit.
its considered hard because all modern games are extremely easy with all the handholding. Its hard in comparison, thats it.
"Unless you are the type of person to call your pc "My Battlestation" you will probably find dark souls hard"
it's like the double meme. You also had to talk badly about witcher
expected from danish person. arrogant and self centered asf
normal monthly thread about how easy and boring are dark souls and witcher
I am like 90% sure you played the game watching and searching every single op thing on the internet, like using ymfah builds, reddit tips, zweihander, full poise, etc. stfu.
it's hard only in the first couple hours
It might not be hard for you. But the general consensus doesn’t support your point.
it took me 7 hours to beat Ludwig holy blade
Dark Souls is all about knowledge, everything is dodge and roll to attack in the back or sides for every boss almost ever but you have to first learn their patterns and attacks that's the difficult part you don't just go through any of those games killing every boss on the game first try like other shit games out there so stfu.
I'd like to see a cocky dark souls fanboy try to take on The valkyrie queen from God of War at high - max difficulty.
i mean its hard the first couple of times because you havent gauged the enemies and/or bosses movesets, after that you just get rolls and parries down and you can cruise through the game at an alright pace
Mafia 1, 3
GTA San Andreas
+1, dying in this game isn't frustrating, people that thinks of dying as humiliation
its cheese gameplay for tryhards
Well yeah. Compared to competitive multiplayer games which have a theoretically infinite difficulty scale, it's nothing. Dark Souls was harder and longer to beat than Assassin's Creed, but it was still beatable, unlike CS. I've only played it for a few dozen hours, whereas I've played CS for a few thousand, and I'm certainly far closer to the skill cap of Dark Souls than I am to CS.
Especially in an RPG that allows for levelling and item farming like Dark Souls, you can almost always replace skill with time and grinding. A more skilled player could beat Dark Souls more quickly, but a child could beat it given enough time - and this is the point where a game like this becomes more tedious than difficult. For a similar example, a more skilled player could max a Runescape account more quickly, but a child could beat it given enough time. In both games, therefore, much of the "difficulty" comes from a willingness to endure tedium rather than an actual skill barrier.
TL;DR even Valorante child game is harder than Dark Souls
not that hard but definitely need more effort than being lem in mm
Minecraft Hardcore is harder. you cant win.
Depends on the game really. ds3 is pretty easy in comparison to the other fromsoft games. As a whole though the franchise is obviously harder than the average game. After understanding the mechanics/timings of bosses the games become relatively simple, but what game does that not apply to?
Agreed. Game is super slow paced and all the bosses have a pattern made up of barely any moves. We need a game where the AI adapts on the fly and has Alpha Zero level intellect.
Butthurt Dane strikes again
+1 completed first attempt with 0 hits
Never played but it looks kinda boring, lots of timed inputs like it’s DDR or some shit
Depends on how you define "hard". The game becomes easy when you know the mechanics of mobs and bosses but it is still pretty unforgiving thus making it comparatively difficult to most other video games. That said I believe Dark Souls is a game beatable by almost everyone given enough time.
It is mostly down to learning the enemies attack and move patterns, having the dexterity to dodge at the right time and manage stamina. There are other smaller things ofc but if you learn the system it is mostly down to how fast and precise you are.
I'd say that it is definetly more challenging than most games because you mostly have to find out the system yourself and the game only tells you the basics,it doesnt even tell you which direction to go etc.I remember feeling completely lost when I first played DS2
Welp, speaking of 1st time playing - definitely harder than average game, but in case of speedrunning it is not as hard and punishing as other games. Most of games are "easy to play, hard to run" while ds are "hard to play, but not that hard to run after you learned 2 play"
so whats a hard game in your opinion mr.super gamer?
Just takes a while to get used to.
Only who didn't play WoW and didn't had like 300 wipes on every firstkill can say yeah Dark Souls is so hard
jk its just a stupid garbage platformer with 3rdperson view
Its not the hardest game in existence (some bullet hell games or platformers are way harder), but in comparison to 90% of other games it is harder and it doesnt hold your hand. Enemies will hunt and kill you, traps will kill you, bosses will one-shot you. Hence its reputation of being punishing. But game is quite fair and gives you tools to overcome these obstacles, still you need to be patient and methodical. If you are casual gamer with no intent to learn and practice and just want to breeze through another game in weekend- you will have a hard time.
Also the hardest one is the first souls game you play. When you learn mechanics, other games in series (or clones) are way easier.
Anything From Software makes is the hardest game in existence in comparison to every triple A game out rn.
But in essence it's just rolling and dodging if you're a good gamer like me
go back into the hole you crawled out from
of course people that dont go outside think games are easy
Elden Ring without death 1st time and we will believe you
The game is hard for casual player. but it just like other game, just learn the enemy pattern and it become easy. Many people doesn't have time in the world to do it. People have other stuff like going outside.
dark souls isnt hard, it just has shit mechanics, very different thing from being "hard"
complete all bloodborne chalice dungeons without starting a new game+
The witcher on death march can be hard
there's not anything harder except platformers which is a whole other genre
Chu mean, fool?
