Either delusional, too long ago you didnt play 1.6, boomer or braindamaged, if you moved a little to a side with 1.6 AWP the shot would literally land 1 meter in front of your feet in the floor, literally aim penalty of the size of the screen
its literally the same, as in, CS in neither of tis iteration had any special quickscope bugs/mechanics, so its just the player aiming and flciking quickly
agreed, but the "movement accuracy penalty" of it made it way harder to use, thats why you can go and see all the "famous clutches/highlights" made with 1.6 AWP and they are all basically the same: our player being static int he same spot and then crouch jumping de-crouching trying to reset ASAP the accuracy of the gun with partially 0 side movement because that would fuck him, example
CS:GO Awp where the players are just shoulder peeking, jump shooting with it like its jut a heavy rifle (yeah, i dare you to find that many highlights of shoulder peeking with awp in 1.6).
Also, most of the difference comes from 1.6 movement vs GO movement, in GO the players are all the time "surfing on the glass floor" so they can jsut move with inertia behind corner, peek, shoot, and strafe back.
