do you think there is a massive difference between second world countries(balkans, czech republic, poland, slovakia) and western countries (usa, canada, western europe). Do they miss anything we have? Because I dont see anything.

I feel the same way... western europeans might have iphone instead of xiaomi, BMW instead of 20 year old skodas but in the end you have the same and also less social problems and immigration

I'm from Poland and I have iPhone 12 mini (I liked my previous Pixel more tbh) and BMW X1 2013 (not the best model but cosy and it's fine for me). There are billionaires in poor countries and there are poor people in '1st world' countries. You can be rich and happy in Poland, Lithuania or any other country that is considered 'worse' in some terms than Germany for example. You can be poor in Germany. My family lives in Sweden for 20+ years and they not really that rich. Just living normal lifes, just like here (they're dentists)

It's not bad but it's worse than in many western countries, including sweden. People don't get killed by mass shootings or terrorists but they still get killed.

Not true it affects some things but it doesn't mean it's unbearable to live with or causes unlivable conditions

They wouldn't leave their countries in masses if life was better over there.
2021-08-02 10:18
It depends on what you consider a worse life, give criteria.
2021-08-02 10:17
yes there is a significant difference, otherwise you wouldn't see pretty much every country in the top of 10 happiest countries in the world are first world countries.
2021-08-02 10:17

I prefer Bulgaria over Sweden. Better climate, less criminals, more historical monuments, full of hot Russian chicks, more sun, and all the zoomers here are 185cm+.

Happiness > materialism. Materialism: I want it, got it, fed up with it, I want newer better, got it, fed up with it, want something else, rinse and repeat. Many poor people live a mentally better life than us in materialistic Western world.

+1 finally some one gets it. People move to western countries because they love money and they think it will give them happiness.

I was living in germany and the us, yet came back to Poland. Tbh I would move out back to Germany only if I did some type of a low job, because there you can still make savings. In Poland if you are working in a low job, you just live from month to month, almost no savings at all. But I was iving in FFH and cultural difference and mass imigration was not my cup of tea despite I'm a really tolerant person. Maybe if I lived outside the city surrounded by native Germans (it means peace in most cases) then I would consider living there. Oh and Jermans have better medicine system (shorter que for specialists) and better school system (in terms of fach and real schools). Here everyone is trying to get diploma, there you can make easier 'fach' in shorter amount of time and still make decent money. Stadt benefits are also higher than here. Which is + and - at the same time

Try to compare health care in usa with for example czech republic... I would not really wana live in a country where you are denied a medical help because of lack of means.

i like living in vanuatu even though pretty poor country
