Why did it take so long for someone to say Ready to Die? Which is obvious the best rap album for so many reasons. I personally like Illmatic more than All Eyez on Me, but those are your top 3 right there. However love me some Wu and Mobb, great choices!
2021-08-02 18:27

i think it comes down to preference or setting ready to die = better party album = more singalong type rapping illmatic = better headphone album = more intricate rhyming and vocab all eyez on me is no where near top rap album and not even the best tupac album. it was just the album that got attention because tupac + dre, but that album is like 10 songs too long and too many posse cuts with lesser rappers (outlawz)
2021-08-02 19:00

Oof that's a spot on analysis for Tupac hahaha Personally I'm a Biggie fan and like Tupac's other stuff, but people get mad if you don't mention it. Big L is preferable as well for me
2021-08-02 23:41
illmatic every song is literally a banger, classic of all classics, ready to die is definitely not as good.

Rap is the most overated crap of music. And what was great = lyrics, became even more overated the last decade than music itself.

Overated comment, i didnt expect more from someone who hears overated music. For the record, 99% of rap music is made with loops, try it , you can make your own in 1 min. Literally.

I'm sure I could make my own rap song in a minute, doesn't disregard the fact that it might sound pleasing to our ears.

Rap is all about great lyrics. The last few years became all about beats/bass. The formula is the same though, repetition over and over and over with catchy loops/samples. If you call that music, so be it. Overated. All you need is a sequencer , a sample CD with few beats in there, a random melody that you can make with 1 finger without even knowing what you doing and a bass in a 4/4 sequence. There you are.

I honestly would agree with you on the overrated part honestly, I don't share the same thoughts as others, but it seems that people just listen to music because of it's popularity over how nice it sounds.

exactly , rap and all the sub-genres is more of a cultural and trend thing than actually good music. How many rap hits ( trap, hip hop etc ) you heard the last few (10+) years that you dont even remember their music or if you do you dont even care because is nothing special. I bet alot of songs/tracks.

There are only a select few songs that I enjoy that are just remixes. Yes, they are done low effort, but I will honestly listen to anything that sounds like. You are right in the sense that they aren't special at all, lots of music nowadays isn't special anymore.

I agree. I do the same. One of my favorites trap tracks i found recently youtube.com/watch?v=oib2gIA0W4k&list=PLg.. There is musicality all over the place, subtle yet thats a good effort.

I'm surprised actually, it sounds very very nice. I'm not a huge fan of modern rap though, if I listen to any sorts of rap, I'm going to listen to 90s early 2000s rap 99% of the time.

his new music is bad. His old music was decent but lots of it was him just being edgy about killing people and just being angry, so I understand prepubic teens like it. His new music is just bad, dude is like 50 and still making music acting like he is 20 something.

To start I would recommend trying any of, Liquid Swords Illmatic It Was Written The Infamous Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Ready to Die Supreme Clientele First listening to rap I also liked this type of stuff you listen to but after hearing illmatic I could not go back, rappers back then just had a different presence on the mic. new rappers sounds amateur in comparison, the song now is less dependent on voice and leans heavily on production it is more pop than actual rap
