Metal Albums help
Sweden m4st4m4st3r4wp
I want some heavy and progressive metal album to listen to. Ive listened so much so i dont know what else to listen to. Something heavy, progressive or industrial. Give me something that i maybe dont know about. I like all the big ones like: Mastodon, Gojira, Opeth, Meshuggah, Devin Townsend, BTBAM, Fear Factory, Pain of Salvation, Evergrey. Please suggest some hidden gems or something. I dont want black metal or power metal.

I recently started listening to Mastodon and I am blown away man. Those guys kick ass. So far I like Crack the Skye and Leviathan the most. I am pretty new to progressive metal and I'm open to listening more of it Feel free to drop your suggestions

Thordendal was 8/8. Some links didnt work, and some were more pop than metal. But thank you for that one!

Soen - listen to IMPERIAL and LOTUS, two insanely good albums! Lykaia and Cognitive are sick too. Overall an excellent prog metal band and one of my favorites. (prog metal) Teramaze - Most of the songs I recommend are in the Esoteric Symbolism album. But their more recent ones are pretty swell too. Can't go wrong with them. (prog metal) Wheel - Their newest album Resident Human sounds very interesting, songs sound very unique. Moving Backwards is cool too. (prog metal) Evergrey - another great prog metal band. Escape Of The Phoenix is a great album. Before The Dawn - one of the best Melodeath bands imo. The songs aren't too extreme for the genre and they sound marvelous. Every album sounds high quality. Light The Torch - With the singer being Howard Jones you can't go wrong with it. The newest album is very good, and so is the previous one. Orbit Culture - Sounds pretty heavy but it's soon good. Nija and Redfog are two great albums.

Since I can't edit it anymore I'll add a few others (also didn't notice you already had evergrey, fak) Not sure if you like melodeath like me, but if you do try Dark Tranquility, Insomnium, Be'lakor, Wolfheart, Mors Principium Est, Barren Earth, Bloodred Hourglass, Kalmah, Noumena, Whispered, Omnium Gatherum, Rivers of Nihil. For some sadder metal go for Dawn Of Solace. In terms of metalcore, there's Loathe (absolutely in love with them recently), August Burns Red, Annisokay, Make Them Suffer, Palisades, Kingdom of Giants, The Word Alive, Betraying The Martyrs, Bury Tomorrow. For industrial I can only think of HEALTH. Also last but not least my favorite metal band, Amorphis :)

Architects - All our gods have abandoned us, lost forever lost together is alright too. Modern, heavy for the most part, quite unique.

Either Flight Without Feathers or Meteor, don't really know how to choose between the 2 because they're so different.
