I tried to find old comments of mine but I didn't find them but I have made suggestions like yours in the past.
I think that Valve should have implemented map-rotation from the start of csgo, to keep things fresh (now it's basically too late). I think that Valve should have had a big map-pool of like 10-15 maps where 7 of them are in the official map-pool and are being played and the rest are in stand-by. Every year, 1 and maybe even 2 maps would go out and be replaced by maps that have been in stand-by. I think it would be a much easier/smoother change if you switch maps at the end of the year instead of right in the middle. I also think it gives a bit of personality to every season, in the future you could say stuff like ''oh remember 2022, that was the Tuscan year'' or something like that.
