Why would you want them to disband?

They're lucky they're partnered with ESL and Blast, because I'm pretty sure they'd not even be title contenders in NA ESEA Prem. I mean... they won BO3 against non-Asian teams in the past 5 months

what? eg would easily win na esea. definitely not eu, but they're an org worth 10's of millions of dollars with players far above na prem level.

Their recent loss to paiN makes me think otherwise, but I guess we'll see at IEM Fall

I have not seen the match against pain but I feel like it’s like faze before they popped off at iem cologne, they had terrible winrate because they’re in all these t1 tournaments and even if they did lose to pain faze lost to sprout during flashpoint so it has a similar meaning. Now don’t get me wrong faze is unique with all their veterans but the team of brehze past very good rifler, cerq past very good awper, 2 young guns in Michu and obo who are proven, and Stanislaw igling it’s great. We do need the veterans of Cerq and brehze to pull their own weight though.

its not like EG disbanding will make NA look any better
2021-09-17 03:30
Them disbanding would only hurt CS. They are playing without their igl and their best player and they still did better than g2 at pro league and did decent get astralis.

Hopefully, soon this is getting ridiculous. Not only are they holding back a player like oBo, but they are also taking tournament spots from much better teams. Hell the OG NRG core of that team at this point is just paycheck stealers.

did this with the mindset of EG doing a full NA roster
2021-09-17 03:39
I like this roster on paper, but... no IGL, no idea if auti would even come back to CS at this point, and not sure if RUSH would want to play with oBo again after he dipped out on COL

I Mean its obvious they wont do good like ffs. they are at a bad position, and they know they are at a bad position and still dont play any T2 Tournaments, they know if they didnt have the partnership they wouldnt be there but they still only play T1 Tournaments instead of playing T2 and getting some confidence back
2021-09-17 04:19
Do they really get paid to play? They cant even field 5 people on their roster. Whoever runs them must be as dumb as the guy who created the worst cloud 9 team ever and spent millions on it.

Top 2 NA team has 11% win rate. I will now giggle, and silently hum the USSR national anthemn as i lay my head on the pillow - thinking about the consequences for all CS, and the fact we are being overrun by an anime game. It was a good run. CS 2001-2021. Rest in peaces.

Volvo ´bout to launch their new forest map and the new CT agent mcGhillie. A-site is the SAAB factory, and B-site is Finland. For exiting gameplay, they made sure T and CT can see each other from spawn, and the lonely survivors will have to duke it out in the forest, to see who can hide and save the most rifles.

I think they're going to rebuild their roster. I think they will keep Daps as the coach, and have Michu stay in the roster. I think this will enter a full rebuilding phase, the question on whether they'll be picking up EU or NA talent will be the interesting one. EG just doubled down on CSGO by hiring a manager of sorts for the team.
2021-09-18 03:14
So cringe to hate on EG now. They have two stand-ins wich have not played officals in a looong time. How can you expect anything? Daps played last event too and before that they had not played that long with their new lineup. They for sure have great firepower with obo, michu and brehze. Getting a new IGL and AWP would probably make this a very good lineup. Would really like to see oSee play vs t1 again.
2021-09-18 03:15
This is what I'd do. I think Cerq misses home so I'd sell him off to an EU team. He's been underperforming awhile so it wouldn't be a huge buyout but it'd be enough to get... +Osee Then Brehze and Obo stay Floppy just left C9's Valorant team potentially to come back to CS. Michu is the epitome of an average player but on a team that sucks I'd rather take a chance on potential then a known 25 year old quantity. Then you decide what you want to do at IGL. I think you keep Daps as the coach and just get an older fragger. Maybe even get a guy like Tarik back he's still under contract and let the two of them work together. Brehze and Obo by all rights and numbers ought to be able to be + riflers for you. Floppy steadily developed all last year and only left because of the C9 debacle. Osee has looked like the best NA AWP prospect since Skadoodle. Not as many proven players but when you are this bad it's time to shake things up and I would bet on young guys and NA. Young guys because they can grow and NA because the fanbase is ravenous for a good team. Liquid is a great draw for ESL and Blast and EG could slot into that if they got good again.

nice breakdown i agree with most of this with the caveat that EG could potentially look to bringing in a younger talent from lower down in NA like coL did with oBo, maybe as a 6th man could help with developing more high-level NA teams which we definitely need
2021-09-18 04:38

At thatt point see if you could go after a guy like Fang as well. The big upside to that too is that if Floppy doesn't work out he slots right in. Basically I just want ES to give up their two best players, lol. But Extra Salt at the end of tthe day is a feeder team and they should want their players to get oppurtunities like this and it's not like they don't make money in buyouts this way so it's not like there is nothing in it for them.

EZ fix was -Stan months ago, but too late for them now. Daps certainly isn't up to task in terms of coaching. Why sign a coach who has gone on record about having no drive for competitive esports? Real head scratcher there.
