depends on how far away, but likely too big for 1080p. 21" or 24" max. Probably don't want 1440p over 24-27" ish.

thats the one. heard good reviews about it and know some 3k elo players who still use this one. HOWEVER, it is very outdated at this point. i play on 60 hz and wanted to upgrade, but i decided not to get this one and save for benq xl2540/2546 (the two monitors most t1 pros use) or a 165 hz one. these are the times it takes monitors with different refresh rates to display a new frame: 144 hz - 6.94444444 ms 165 hz - 6.06060606 ms 240 hz - 4.167 ms so the time difference between 144 hz and 240 hz, although negligible in real time, is almost double, even though people say they do not notice much of a difference. but in theory your reaction time should be about 2x better on 240 hz than on 144 hz. just decide whats best for u from this.

Difference in his reaction time between 144hz (6.9ms) and 240hz (4.2ms) is not 2x better on 240hz. In practice it's barely noticeable (if at all). I mean yeah you get few ms but its not worth it if you are on budget since average good player reaction time is like 150ms-200ms (mine is like 160ms in this click green test and it's almost the same on 144hz and 240hz. The biggest jump is from 60hz and then I get like 10ms more at most) It's not like you have 200ms reaction time on 144hz and you will get 100ms on 240hz, you will probably get like 197 xD

240hz looks so much more smooth than 144hz, but then i see 360hz and i cry tears cuz i dont has it D:

a 360 hz monitor will display a new frame every 2.77777778 ms compared to a 240 hz's 4.167 ms. so a difference of just a little bit more than 1 ms. i doubt it's necessary for csgo, unless u've got a lot of money to waste.

could just be his internet/stream settings or maybe his res on game has something to do to it I was playing around with starting my own stream just for fun and ppl recommend to stream at 936p instead of 1080p because its about the same, not everyone watches streams fullscreen or even on pc so it takes less from ur internet, I havnt seen the differences in practice but maybe he does that

fair point, i used the wrong wording there. but i did mention in my comment that the difference is "negligible in real time". however my point wasn't about reaction time being 2x less on 240 than on 144 when u're doing those reaction time tests. what i meant was that when you're playing csgo, a 240 hz monitor will display a new frame almost 2 times faster (4.167 ms) than a 144 hz monitor (6.94 ms) will. that is definitely not negligible when u look at the big picture in terms of how peeking in csgo works. also, your point that getting "200 ms reaction time on 144 hz" equates to "197 ms on 240 hz" is definitely not accurate. that's not how a difference in refresh rates will work.

His point is kinda bad, 244HZ WILL make your Reaction time better, he is trying to compare green/red Reaction time to moving Reaction time on CSGO, its not like the enemy will just teleport into your crosshair, there is alot of different things and the most important thing for CSGO is to be able to have good reaction time in MOVING TARGETS, and thats why 244hz is better because you will be able to kill people way easier when they are moving, if you get a 244hz right now you wont notice it very much, but if you switch it back to 144hz it will look very weird.
2021-09-17 19:14
1 reply
yeah exactly. it will make your enemies' movements smoother because youll be seeing new frames way faster than you're used to, which will aid your aiming and you'll also be able to deal with fast peeks better because of the increased reaction time. u meant to say 240* hz im assuming.

its one of the best options available for a 144 hz monitor rn. even tho its kinda outdated, like i said before, the competition has not stepped up when it comes to exclusively 144 hz monitors.

I have this amazon.com/LG-27GL850-B-Ultragear-Compat.. for a year now, Anyway what's more important is that you have a good white light behind u so ur eyes don't have to adjust from dark to light. Otherwise no amount of monitor will help you being half blind by ur 30s.

HP X24ih is a good option tho it costs 240$ on amazon. Have been using it for 4 months and this monitor is satisfying in terms of colours and everything. Also, don't even think of buying a monitor with a TN panel since it's piece of crap. IPS panel is what you need.

6bit+FRC......................bruh, i wouldn't take this for free. lmao, better if u buy old CRT monitor for 10-20$ and oc. up to 144hz+

You could try to buy a monitor that was returned because it had a dead pixel. You can buy these with warranty from hardware stores, up to 50% off the retail price.

Going from 60 or 75 to 240 was insane. Going back down to 144 from 240 is not nearly as bad, but still quite noticeable.
