Anime with No fillers

Suggest some good anime shows like OPM where episodes are reduced and no boring fillers with 800 episodes.

Why is it unfortunate? If you don't like anime, that is fine and that will be respected, but that doesn't mean that others aren't allowed to enjoy it either. Reporting others for enjoying what you do not is extremely unfair.

Some fillers are good and complete the lore and story, I can get when it drags for episodes and the characters are some 3rd tier bystanders but when it's around the main plot it's fine, let it build and then enjoy its legacy

Why not? It's not the storyline arc but just tells a story about some character in the midst of an epic fight, isn't that a filler?
2021-09-24 00:31
I think you got the wrong idea of fillers. Fillers are plain stupid timewaste, since they can't have any character or story development because they dont use the original source (Usally Manga, Light novel, webtoon or visual novel games). Fillers are usally created when the anime is catching up to the source material, that way they still try to produce content in order to stay present while basically pausing the story. You can skip filler episodes or even arcs without missing out anything, since they are not really part of the story and usally will be never mentioned again. There are also "anime canon" episodes, which are mostly like fillers when it comes to dropping in quality, but they have the chance to actually add something to the story (Atleast for the anime adaptation) . You can usally skip them too anyway tho. I would really recommend you using this site when you watch big shounens like Naruto, Bleach, Dragon ball etc ... You can save so much wasted time with it animefillerlist.com/

Thanks I just thought that anything that isn't telling about the main storyline is automatically a filler. Doesn't matter what character is in question and what's the story about within that filler, but alright then

Naruto + Boruto
2021-09-26 17:55

Boruto has a lot of anime canon episodes which are alright sometimes, but they feel a lot like fillers tbh. The problem there is that they adapted the manga waaay too soon. Naruto on the other hand has a increadible amount of dull filler episodes inbetween. Do you never felt like something was wrong when watching them? For example: (Spoiler warning for those who havent watched naruto classic yet) After Sasuke fought with naruto and went to orochimaru (episode 136) there are only filler afterwards except for 1 canon/filler mixed episode in between and the last episode where we see that naruto goes on a trip with jiraiya for 3 years. Tbh, i didnt knew about fillers neither before reaching to this filler arc and the previous single filler episodes felt okay. But after episode 136 i skipped everything because of how boring it was and actually nothing important happend (Watched some episodes afterwards to compare). I heard from many people that fillers are the reason they stopped watching naruto lol.

Fate zero is the prequel so you can watch it before or after ubw (you can even just watch zero and forget about the others, but don't do the opposite since zero is best part) Then you have stay night, ubw and heavens feels which are three alternate stories based on the three different routes of the visual novel Stay night is terrible but you can watch other two or just one of them

High school stories (like death note), OPM similar stories of heroes n villains. Idk I haven't watched a lot so I don't have a lot of categories

Ok for anime like death note where the main character is in school, Parasyte The Maxim, Future Diary, Code Geass, The Irregular at Magic Highschool, Classroom of the Elite are the first that come to mind which I highly recommend. As for similar to One Punch Man, My Hero Academia comes to mind first (if you can get over the MC being a bit of a cry baby at first, you'll find that the entire story is based around the social aspects of a society in which super heroes and villians exist as well as the effects it has on the individuals in that framework); Not every season of it is great but it has shown really high potential in the past and it's currently working back up towards it. Other shows you may like, if you like OPM: Overlord (over powered MC though it's, effectively, from the villian's POV), Mob Pyscho 100 (also has a bit of that school aspect you mentioned), and perhaps even Inuyashiki (the line between hero and villian is made pretty clear in that one and it also has the sort of gritty story you would expect from a seinen). I tried not to get too broad with interpreting what you're looking for and also tried to keep the fact that you haven't watched many anime in mind so, hopefully this helps.

Depends on the anime. Some anime almost require filler content and certain fillers are actually quite good, they break up the seriousness of the story for some non-canonical fun; consequently some are not so good in return... There is also the problem of deciding what it is filler and what isn't, as sometimes it is obvious, sometimes it isn't that obvious... I would probably say Steins;Gate and Mirai Nikki.

Idk, its everything. Its back and white, its obvious, its slow-paced, characters don't resemble real personalities and so on. Im running out of things to watch, movies are all superhero stuff, same shit, too dumb. And I like dumb shit like Jay and Silent Bob, if its dumb on purpose, but I feel that is quite different. I only watched a handful of episodes of a few animes, that my friends were quite passionate about and I kinda lost hope.ll

What shows did you watch, to get the opinion that animes are dull and without any character development?
2021-09-27 10:04
What WaSTe_D recommended is a great list, especially the last two, though, if you're looking for high paced action they might not resonate well with you. Jujutsu Kaisen is especially good for fast paced action as is Jormungand (my favorite of all time), Initial D (especially if you're a car guy, though it's quite a long series), Fate/Zero, Ghost in the Shell (also quite a long series, you'd start it with the 95' movie) and if you're looking to watch some other movies I'd recommend Jin-Roh: Wolf Brigade and Genocidal Organ, Jin-Roh in particular is good at blurring the line of black and white, as is Jormungand. Most of what I recommended are among my top 10 anime of all time.

the only recent animes i have been able to put up with are megalo box, or mushi-shi. too much overexaggerated japanese culture in the rest that makes me wince every 4 minutes.

Megalo box S2 was so good and mushishi will always hold a special place in my heart.

very stupid thread, you can watch any anime without fillers if you use animefillerlist.com/

Exactly (stupid). Anime is made out of manga where there are no fillers. Fillers are made for profit by the studio who makes the anime....

+1, that or they make fillers so that manga can create more chapters for anime to adapt
