Watch your own demos and look for what you're doing wrong, not what you're doing right. You might be doing lots of things right but the things that you're doing wrong are probably 80% of the reason for your plateau.
Compare them to other demos in the same situation.
1. Disable voice communications. This is a must unless you want a bunch of russians screaming in your ear and making you play worse
2. Don't overthink aiming. Aiming is actually a very small part of cs, you'll be fine without aim practice if you don't have time for it. Focus on other parts of your game more
3. Don't play too much. I'd say 60-80hrs/2 weeks is the sweet spot, you need to take care of irl things, they actually have a huge impact on your gameplay
4. Be healthy. This is very simple, if you have a healthy diet, work out, sleep properly etc. You will instantly play 3x better.
Deathmatch is good for beginners who want to obtain basic reflexes and muscle memory.
There is no point playing a lot of DM to improve your aim, reactions, crosshair placement, etc. Only actual 5on5 matches against stronger enemy will improve your skill.
Also watch POV demos of pro players to understand how to play.
just train like xantares, he gets 1000 kills every day at dm, what a hardworking aim-god
you play solo? if yes this is what draging you to lower level. You get random low players and you have to be super star every match in order to get yourself out of the lower ranks. And there are lots of cheaters on faceit too.
I myself did reached level 10 solo only but i had premium so at least i can play with ppl who actually paid-means they will do their best most of the time.
My advice is get 4 more ppl who are as good as you and play together and you will see getting level 10 is ez.If you are wondering where you can get 4 more ppl with same skill as yours-play ECL league and there add ppl.
Dont play DM like crazy, the only reason i get to DM is either when im hearing a podcast/music in the background and chilling, or im testing a new Mouse/Keyboard/Monitor/Mousepad or Setting
1st, if you want to get out of the plateau i recommend you take 1 day just to recheck all of your settings, look at your mousepad placement, your monitor height and distance, keyboard placement and angle, Viewmodel/cl_bob, nvidia settings and launch commands for better FPS. obviously Dpi/Sens is important, i recommend you having 1000 Edpi (not dpi, EDPI) or lower
stop playing dm it barely does anything... it's just a warmup... how can people think it translates into competitive play just like that? there are better maps that actually help, dm is almost useless. Just watch pro games, thats usually the difference between players... understanding what to do, not being able to just shoot
Also get lucky and go on win streaks.
stop playing too much DM your arm will be tired and sore also you'll get bored easily, just do 1000 kills in aim map (if u really tryharding do 2000 kills). switch weapon around, ak/deagle/awp/USP and after u finish playing CS do aim training again at least 500-1000 kills. i recommend good aim map like "Training-Blank"
also try to focus to do one tap and not spray because spraying like a egghead wouldn't help ur training.
Just play whit ur friends . then its easy . but example when u play solo and u get 4 russians who doesnt understand the game then its hard tho
- get teammates. Very often the actual reason you cant rank up is players who troll/throw.
- watch demos of pros and yourself. See what mistakes you make compared to the pros.
- dm is just for warmup, dont use it for training.
- gl with faceit men <3
aim is useless to train that much, just keep playing the game competitively and you will learn from your own mistakes, once you reach about 2k hours in actual competitive gameplay, u can start focus on aim again.
best things for t is to learn pre-aiming, there are workshop maps for this, and best for ct is utility usage and playing off-angles
It might seem impossible in mm, but try and be a better teammate by helping your teammates with flashes more often, try to control your teammates, if you have a read for example try to have your teammates listen. In skill level like this out playing your opponents is very easy
Don't buy any courses or coaches
1.) Add topfraggers from your games and que up with them.
2.) Unbind scoreboard and play for round wins and not kd (stupid pushing after next kill etc)
3.) Play impact positions like a site on mirage etc but dont fight your team over them just go b apps if everything is taken
4.) Don't say how ur team is shit or tilt them in other ways
5.) If someone is toxic bind mouse5 cl_mute_all_but_friends_and_party 1 or whatever the command was and keep playing and giving info
And most importantly don't blame your team if you lose because an actual decent player can 1v9 carry himself to atleast level ~8/9 so if you keep losing in yellow levels then maybe it isn't your teammates and you need to practice a little more
Biggest thing I recommend: Being mentally stable.
If u're gonna have mental breakdown from every Russian ur gonna meet, well u can call that game done.
i guess just play more.
the best ppl of my friendlist have the most hours with some exceptions.
i know FPLC one who is insane but this dude has 14k hrs and 9k games on faceit + team exp.
Getting out of lvl4 took me a hardcarry while solo, i had one whole month 1.8 KD when i started faceit again some yrs ago, you need to be just wayyyyy much better
Doesn't matter how long you deathmatch for or how many kills you get, the important thing is to do it consistently, try to dm for an X amount of minutes every day. Other than that you mainly just have to play and get more experience, you can learn a thing or two by watching demos, etc but in the end you need to actually play to improve.
people will tell you a bunch of garbage tips in reality you have to find someone as good as you thats in the same boat, a guy "boosted" me to lvl 4 and i got to lvl 5 easily and i suspect it will only get easier now that my teammates are less garbage. havent played faceit much since i got esea tho. also get premium.
Stop solo q, get some friends to play with
Do like me - Introduce your friend to CS:GO, let him get to lvl 10 in a few years and then he'll boost you up. :)
Best way to climb in faceit is with a 5 team. Even though it’s probably puggy it’s the best way to climb
