defending the majortitle!

I think the winners of the previous major should always get an invite to the next one imo, it makes sense they should always be able to defend their own title, other big sporting events like Champions league do it too!

No. If Astralis finish less than 1-11 they are not gonna be at the major
2021-09-27 19:41
Well they and the other top 7 teams did not get invites
2021-09-28 01:14
but what if the team last major winning team disbanded?

Normally top 8 at the Major get Legend Status and are invited to next major. In this case, because there hasn't been a Major for 2 years, noone is invited.

Really? i thought everything had just been replaced by the RMR point system...

Everything did get replaced by the RMR point system since the last major happened two years ago and it makes sense.

Dude i literally said that since there hasn't been a Major for 2 years, there's no invitation. They did the RMR system for this Major

I would agree if it hadnt been over 2 years since the last major also astralis got a big head start with the 800 rmr points from the berlin major. and a 300 point head start from the 2020 rmr

Well, with current rmr standings, 800 points would be more then plenty to get a major invite, which is what you are arguing, soo.... ??????

liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Regional_Ma.. those 800 where last years.... they dont have them and also no, you can get a lot more
2021-09-28 14:19
Agree - It would be a scandal if Astralis is not to be found at the final stage at the major to defend their title

On a group stage with BO1's on the new update - that's so random, that I really don't like the odds. The good thing is, that Magisk seems to be a much better IGL now and Xyp9x was a beast on LAN for Astralis at the last event. But Lucky is completely new on LAN and that can be intimidating for such a young player, but hopefully he will do just fine.

I have a somewhat unrelated question: how many comments do you have to make before you can make a thread in this forum? The thread has to do with Astralis :p

after 25 comments the 5 per day restriction is removed at 50 (i think) you can make one thread per day and sometime after that it becomes onces per 2 hours
