I am about to make some nice borscht. is it okay to replace beef with lamb? I mean for stock and the meat.
I have heard that it is not okay to use pork for stock, so this is why I am asking, wanting to make sure if the result can be called "borscht" or "borscht, but with lamb".

chek some internet guides how to make it properly... in all cases you should add SOUR CREAM (during eating to your Borsch) + it's better to eat Borsch with SOFT BUNS with GARLIC. it is best combo. Borsch + Sour cream (just put 1 spoonful of sour cream into your plate before you start eating) + Soft buns with Garlic. you can use any kind of meat, but Beef legs are the best I guess. they became soft and tasty during cooking
