im going to major on semifinals and finals in stockholm and i'll be in stockholm 10/04 - 10/08 not sure about the apartment but probably will live near sofo/hamtvakten area (maybe someone is couchsurfing here and could save me money? I could boost you to faceit level8:) ) anything else I should know on how to save money when I'm here? Like buying a two day ticket for metro or something like that

There are some relatively cheap bars at Södermalm. Around 3-4 euros for a beer. Basically everything is cheaper at Södermalm in relation to rest of Stockholm. Should definitely stay away from Norrmalm, super expensive. Also, you can only buy beers above 3,5% to take home at a certain store called Systembolaget. The beers there cost about 1 euro. 1 Euro = 10 SEK

yeah i figured the conversion rate can't really take anything home since planes don't let you take over 100ml liquids (maybe they let you to take anything in checked baggage, but I always travel with a small backpack - it's just cheaper --> for example I paid 50eur for both tickets Riga->Stockholm and Stockholm->Vilnius)

Definitely not true, a significant amount of people have been working from home, skipped traveling, avoiding meeting in large groups etc. With vaccination rates relatively high and covid not having overwhelmed hospitals since April, it's looking pretty decent. Can always change of course, hard to predict.

Okay, your are right. Maybe not all. But still, its have been like this never happend for most I know and see* Travel. Go out and drink after 10pm (very wierd restriction if u ask me) but so on. Make big party's or friend meetings.

Some tips : -Don't use taxis! Uber is cheaper, but metro is cheapest and will get you to most places -Don't use Arlanda Express to travel from the airport, use Flygbussarna instead, it's like half the price -Eating dinner at restaurants is expensive, lunch menus are usually way cheaper(usually 10-15euro). Dinner at restaurants in the innercity will easily cost you 40-50euro+++. Fast food/foodora/uber eats is more worth for dinner, cheapest is ofc cooking your own food though. -Download the app called "SL", it's very convenient for planning your metro/bus transportation and also you can buy tickets on the app. You just use your phone to scan the ticket when you go on a bus / use the metro. -You can buy 3day SL ticket, probably worth if you gonna use the public transportation a lot. 3day ticket cost 31euro ish, standard ticket cost 4 euro ish and the duration for the standard ticket is 1hour 30min. So depends how much you gonna use the metro / bus but most likely worth it.

I actually don't know to be honest, but if I were to guess, you'd be able to save some money by renting an Airbnb in the suburbs of Stockholm instead of the innercity. Most suburbs still has metro stations, so innercity will still be very accessible (15min metro ride). I don't know for sure but I'd assume that the prices are more budget friendly if you rent a bit outside of the innercity, maybe in Enskede, Årsta, Älvsjö, Farsta or something like that.

Södermalm is the best place for nightlife and if you want to go clubbing I recommend colloseum which is located right by the arena and if you like billiards I recommend billjardpalatset. For commuting you should buy a 3day sl ticket, buying one time tickets gets real expensive real quick.

It really isn't very expensive. I found the best options and we will pay 145 euro for plane tickets + airbnb (4 nights). Then PGL tickets are around 120 (for both semis and finals) and then whatever you spend in Stockholm (so probably around 100-200). So 265 + 100-200 ain't that much if you are over 18 and have a job
