You’re not doing any side job ? When I studied I worked part time in small computer shop and was a part time photographer. Side income will help you more than you think What are you studying?

What can you possibly save doing just some part time job? Its a pocket money even if you are doing it for few years. There is no way you can save up even 25% of money needed for a house/apartment.

If you are not spending it at all then maybe And even if you are not spending at all cuz you are living with your parents and they pay for everything it's impossible to save up even 25% of money needed for a house/apartament especially some nice one doing only some part time job. Getting apartament just from your own money without any help of family is simply impossbile unless you are some great IT specialist or something, and you would still need to save money for years (doing it full time as well obviously). And if we are talking about saving money overall then sure you can save up a lot through out the years doing part time job, but this thread is about buying a fucking house from it.

the idea is generally that you get married and buy when you combine the two incomes. As a single person you need to earn megabucks to be able to afford a house.

Actually funny lol. prices are inflated at least 2 or 3 times the normal price. Also, houses need to be built to withstand each area's natural disasters so that costs more money as well.

This is most likely a category 4/5 hurricane which is nature's middle finger to us that creates mini twisters of around 200-250 mph winds that almost no structure can survive. But any hurricane that is not as strong will not do any/minimal damage to a house that is built and maintained correctly Also Roofs usually are meant to be replaced every 15 years and hurricanes usually do a good job of reminding us of that.

That’s good, Spain has a big problem with young people living with their parents in their 30s. Would you say it’s rather a culture or high house prices
2021-10-15 12:31

im spanish so i can answer, it's def a cultural thing. Most people move when they are 20x, from 22-28, but also some people leave when they are 30-33. Family is close to each other and it's not typical like in Scandinavia or even eastern EU countries to move out at 18-23

Perhaps but it's probably not just a coincidence that the only countries that have a similar economic situations also have the same "culture" i.e. italy and greece.

it is in fact a coincidence, if u dont understand mediterranean culture, PLEASE, dont talk about it
2021-10-19 12:53

You can have your opinions, but the fact is even if they wanted to stop living with their parents they can't due to the economic situation. Coincidences do happen, but I just don't think it is in this case. I understand the culture in Spain better than you think so please stop pretending that you are the only one allowed to have an opinion on it you fucking crybaby.

After the great reset you will own nothing and you will be happy :) So if you dont have a property-the new system will provide you a sleeping pod probably.
2021-10-15 12:34
Haha fun fact. The "rich first worlders" from Western Europe could never actually afford to buy any type of property in a big city. Home ownership in these "first world" countries is laughable and they all live on rent like a bunch of robot work ants. Try buying a flat in Berlin or London xdddd. Meanwhile in my "poor gypsy" country virtually everyone owns an apartment in the city, plus maybe an old quirky village house somewhere near it.

tbh its a stupid comparison. High home ownership doesnt mean the house is of good quality. I could build a mud hut also, call it a house and then claim ownership. 1st world houses are normally of high quality hence price. Also, mainly people with no high income skill are without a house.

Not putting you down, more power to you but to me that seems like taking on so much responsibility, I was a kid, would not want 3 of me. Land is also a lot of work, I have many fruit trees and plant gardens. In the summer if I forget to water the garden for 1 day it could die or if it just gets to hot it could die and that's very depressing. Trees are the best way to go, they almost never die. Produce fruit for your whole life. bought a plum tree from the store, was just a 4 foot dried up stick, technology is amazing, planted it and one year later gave me 50 plums and growing great.

I would wait, the housing boom is going right now. If people plan on buying a house, can afford it and plan to live their the rest of their lives, any time is good. Housing markets do swings that could take 20 years to recover so people buying houses today might have to wait 20-25 years to break even if they buy today or who knows, maybe the housing market will never go down. New houses in my city start at 500k That's nothing compared to the cities around me. Some start at 800k. Think the last housing market crash is still just recovering now so 20 years .
2021-10-15 13:50
Don't do that, you can live on the streets without spend a penny
2021-10-15 13:56
I plan on staying single and saw a vid of two homes built in 24 hours with 3d printing. I'm a non possession type of guy, just want things in my home that I use, stuff sitting around is worthless to me. I've owned a home and sold it. I would love to get one of those small 3d printed homes with some land in the future. Think about it, most of us don't use anything in our home, the bigger it is the more work to maintain it.

My dream house is a house like the one I grew up in. 3 bedroom, decently big, in London. I will never be able to buy a house like that. I don't want a mansion, but a relatively large comfortable that features suburban and city life, perhaps one of those houses in japan are a good example, but they are so fucking expensive

Already did it. I love this house!
2021-10-15 17:15
I already bought myself an apartment to live in but a dream house I will get probably by 30s-35s Maybe not in Russia too. A dream house for me would be not too big with Scandinavian design and large windows. Location is key. Good neighboors important too.

If I work hard enough then I can Dream would be near the beach in a condo or on a mountain in a pretty big cabin with friends.

I would have to move out from the capital region first, otherwise I would have to cough up 500k+ for something decent

never probably .. whats the point you can find cheap rents and travel not worry about furniture +renovation, +getting bad neighbours if you dont like something you can just travel out
2021-10-17 13:39
never, not even a chance. read my name

With the housing market as it is in the Netherlands never. I can't get a mortgage because I don't have enough saved up and I can't saved up because if the insanity that is my monthly rent.
2021-10-18 07:44
Probably never but never say never. Maybe.. Not in 15 years for sure though.
2021-10-18 07:50
No plan/idea, but dream house for me its not really a big part of the life equation. However, ofc I would prefer a +10million apartment in Odenplan over my current rental.
2021-10-18 08:10
Never Buy a house isn't a good investiment, if you take the money you'll use to buy a house and invest in very safe stocks, you'll recive monthly a value bigger than the rent of the same house Is the tip :)
