I’ve never been to Brisbane. But if you like beaches and stuff like that, Brisbane is probably better because you’re close to the Gold Coast. Melbourne is great for multiculturalism.

2021-10-15 19:34

Well the thing is we really weren't on the middle, we were standing pretty much right next to the parked cars. I would understand if we would have been standing right on the middle. I also work in military mobile checkpoints and we meet tourists semi often I can assure you I don't think so rudely about them when I meet them
2021-10-15 19:44
I mean it's all about your luck when it comes to people some are super friendly some are rude Traffic is definitely worse in London tho i think only my lovely Moscow can contest in this aspect

Fellow Hispanics seem to be most friendly obviously but I've also noticed crime has been growing in NYC and white population has gone down which I don't really care about other than they seemed to be most rude. Also I would say Paris is the fashion capital, luxury can be seen in any major city if you go to right areas
2021-10-15 19:37
1 reply
Yeah Hispanic people in general are really friendly and open to talk with you and they don't make any problems from my experience As for Paris it depends IFDAQ ranks NYC first and Paris second and the gap was quite close the last time i checked it
2021-10-15 19:41
-Scientific output - Who cares and source? -Fashion/Luxury things - Who cares and source? Pretty sure London is still a big fashioin hub -Architecture - Subjective but in most people's opinions no -Safety - Just wrong channel4.com/news/factcheck/factcheck-is.. -Food options and quality - Also wrong. We have way more cultures here with absolutely amazing food you will find nearly nowhere else. Just having a half decent pizza and a shitty hotdog doesn't mean shit -Better wages even when we cut taxes doesn't matter since London is way cheaper livingcost.org/cost/london/new-york -Billionaires/UHNWI - Since when is this a good thing? Oh wow you have some rich scum sitting in manhatten skyscrapers isn't NYC special -Education - HAHAHAHAHHAHA no way you're being serious here -Traffic - Maybe but it doesn't matter since London has amazing public transport -FinTech and similar fields - Who cares about what the banks do? Most people don't work in banking?
2021-10-15 19:30

1. Just google it and you have wikipedia page about it 2. Check IFDAQ luxury ranking and yeah London is fourth or fifth if i'm correct 3. Yeah it depends but i like more modern architecture but didn't try to say London is something bad 4. Dunno i can't click your link since i'm on phone rn but i think only the violent crime is higher in NY 5. Quite big part of English cuisine is fish which i really hate but it's also subjective i guess but in the most of the rankins NY is higher 6. Yeah London is cheaper but wages in NY are way higher 7. I think it means something since rich people tends to live in good cities with good opportunities and around skilled laborforce 7. London has LSE while NY has Columbia, Columbia is top15 school while LSE is mostly about economics just like the name suggests 9. NY also has amazing public tran still no match for Asian cities 10. Dunno why i put it on the table but your countryman said that London is on par with NY in terms of all financial fields

Streets = Sure what do you expect from 20 million mega city with ultra diverse population from around the world but London is imho even worse but it's debatable and depends on season i guess Traffic = Sure it's big like in any big city but every ranking shows that London is most congested city alongside our great capital Food = Yeah it is stolen but imho NY pizza > Italian pizza, And London is pretty much all about fish Girls = No definitely not the same, NYC is fashion and luxury capital of the world so the NY girls on average blows out prolly every other city in the world

2021-10-15 17:50
At least London is liveble but there is no way you live in core NY.
2021-10-15 18:28
Have you ever been to london or NY? We do not have rigid and straight roads like NY. We have winding streets and alleys instead that are much better. Instead of blocks of buildings separated by huge traffic you are on a street separated by only a small road in most cases away from roads. You are completely delusional if you think that just because NY has pizza which is overrated as fuck that London's food is inferior. London is one of the world's biggest cultural melting pots. You have pretty much ever single ethnicity in the world here with absolutely banging cuisines. Indian, Pakistani and Chinese food is off the fucking scale here if you go to the right places. I don't know how a city can just have good or bad girls. So many people life there the amount of hot girls is pretty much proportional to the population. Both cities are major in the fashion industry and that doesn't really mean anything anyway. London is way better than NY in many things as well. Public transport, Safety, History, Housing costs and public greenery are all things that London is better at.

Yeah Europe still top in terms of overall QoL but not cities like Paris, Berlin or London they're just awful when we'll compare them to their past, Madrid is really fine tho just like Zaragoza? Saragossa? For me: Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Norway (Quite depressing place to live but high QoL) are absolutely good places to live, good wages, not that super high cost of living and friendly people Spain is quite up there but you have some economic problems so i would put Spain in the second tier but the people are definitely the most friendly in all of Europe along Ronaldo's nation

So i personally dislike Amsterdam too. I wasnt a huge fan of rotterdam, but that could also be on me. Rotterdam isnt nice history wise but has a very modern city center (it all got bombed in WW2, so they had to rebuild). Can't tell u much about the culture/etc, ive only been there once and only for a short time. I'm visiting Utrecht for the 2nd time in my life pretty soon. It's very central in the netherlands and very easy to access using public transport. I personally felt very safe in Utrecht and it's more affordable than Amsterdam, due to being a bittle less touristic. If you like shopping, it's a great place to go to as well. Den haag (The Hague) is a really safe and calm city. Shopping is nice, and if you're into politics you can visit the government buildings (They're being renivated rn, tho). Den haag has some nice museums too and i had a blast there. The great thing with the Netherlands is that it's small and public transport is very well organized. Sometimes u can buy a ticket to go whereever ur want in the less busy hours the entire day for only a few euros. When not on sale they're very expensive. ns.nl/producten/onbeperkt-reizen/p/dagka.. (NS dagkaart, often on sale at Kruidvat, Spoordeelwinkel, Trekpleister etc) Den haag is located near the beach and if you're a beach guy, feel free to go. Must say, weather isnt great here. Personally i would say go to Den haag or Utrecht, or visit both if u have some time! Other honourable mentions are Groningen (Student/Party city), Zwolle and Den Bosch. Altho for the latter you're better off asking Astralis_6_major, he's from thesouth
2021-10-15 17:48

Seriously Zwolle would be the most boring city to visit as a tourist. What are you gonna do there. Utrecht is very nice and recommended if you really want to avoid Amsterdam, it's like a clean version of the ams

2021-10-15 18:20
good DJs, the thing with rotterdam is that the entire center was burned down and then just rebuilid in a 'modern' style, you could even say there are some brutalist buildings there... so Rotterdam isnt very nice if you look at it from the historic perspective which is sad( the heauge is very nice and you are super close to, delft, rotterdam (which does have an UNESCO world heritage site) schiedam, gouda and the molenlanden (also with a UNESCO world heritage site)

Yeah for example it rates education by "Quality of private education" and "Availability of private education" and healthcare by "Availability of public healthcare", "Availability of over-the-counter drugs" (this is a good thing?) which are very opinionated ways to measure. Add to that that a whole bunch of their numbers are just made up by their own "experts" it's basically just the opinion of the 5 guys who made the report

they could have 1 dude write the report a senior student even all the collective data still originates from the analysts

a lot of the data is just "one of our experts ranked the cities by <good housing> " - not hard data (whatever good housing means) then there is the problem of how you rank and weigh the different parameters: again completely subjective but I guess you really like it because all the Australian cities do well

Judging by personal experience (haven't travelled too much), Ottawa is amazing because of the history you can find there. I can't imagine what it is like in historic EU/Asian cities

I loved staying in Cape town for a couple of weeks, it is an amazing city. I didnt experience all the negative things it is known for though.. I also liked Queentown(NZ), Amsterdam and Bangor (US). These are all places that I visited as a tourist, but I could see myself living in all these places. Worst cities: Los Angeles, Dar Es Salaam and Esbjerg.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Zurich. Can't really name anything bad there besides crazy high prices. Also if you're living there, you most likely earn a lot too, so you're probably fine with the prices. But also every place in the world besides Switzerland will feel cheap af for you. Btw most of cities with 2m+ population are shitholes.

A city in a dictatorship can never be the best city to be in, because its a dictatorship, meaning you don't really want to be there, and if you are you have to be careful what you do. Also depending on if there is a limit to the size of cities we talk about, I would never mention a city with many millions people. it will always make it worse.

Yeah true, some don’t consider it a real city until it has like a million! Here it’s at roughly 25k so if you want nice clean and peaceful Ofc they’re gonna win
