Fingers crossed. Navi will do their best and win it.
Checks out, csgo pro scene is nearing its death so it's expected
Valorant is the future, soon all the talented players will be at valorant
Did you notice that no matter what t1 team lose to ubderdogs or t2, anyway in playoffs are the teams we expected
No team is heads and shoulders above every other team. And there hasn't been any such team in a long time. Navi loses lots of maps (thought not many series), Gambit loses a lot nowadays. Vitality look like Gods one game and completely lost on some other game.
Because the CS scene is dying. Sure, it's a legendary Esport, but that's just it, it's a legend. Valorant is the future of most CsGo pros.
We will never see a super dominant top 10 again. Nowadays tier 2 teams are much stronger than they used to be back in the day, "upsets" happen more often. Doesn't necessarily mean that tier 1 teams are bad, just that the gap between tier 1 and tier 2 is smaller
I mean even in astralis prime it was kinda competetive with navi liquid mouse faze fnatic vitality g2 and even ence were good teams
Now besides navi everyone is literally shit
well right now the major is most probably between the top 4 teams (Gambit, NaVi, NIP, Vitality)
sure there are many teams outside these 4 that have decent chances to win the major but they are not the "favorites" for sure
totally agree only exception i can think of is gambit but they proof it was an onliner thing
I think the biggest factor for the upsets are that the gap between tier 1 and tier 2 teams is nowadays much smaller than 2 years ago.
Gambit are good and consistent as well
I don't understand this, I think the scene is stronger than it's ever been. The difference between now and 3 years ago is that T2 teams are very good, where in the past they were literally a tier below T1. On any given day any team can win because they're all full of talented players with good tactics. There were entire eras where the only teams that could realistically win tourneys were the top 4/5. This is way more fun.
Vitality seems quite consistent and NIP as well.
Online era has increased parity between traditional T1 and T2, as T1 teams had fluctuating motivation playing online after playing LANs for most of their career while nothing really changed for T2 teams as they continued grinding online matches like most of their careers.
So while T1 was in flux for the better part of 2 years now, online T2 teams eventually did catch up to the point where you see teams like CPH Flames and Movistar reaching new heights, while also bringing more young talent to the spotlight (Gambit youngsters), or even forgotten talent back into the spotlight (Hobbit, Roej, etc.).
As such, this Top 10 today is probably the strongest that its ever been in history due to the natural progression of the game and how its played, but also the most competitive, as theres no clear head and shoulders above the rest team besides Navi really.
