$200-250k for a car or even two That's basically the same price as a lambo. Why bother with a sports car? You should spend around $50k on a car that can get you from A to B, no need for it to be flashy

2.000.000 placed in S&P 500 ETFs yielding 9% historically. That'd give you a yield of 180.000$ annually pre taxes. The taxation of stock yields would be 42% in Denmark (using as an example, high taxation) after the first ~8.500$. 8.500-27% = 6.205 171.500-42% = 99.470 6.205 + 99.470 = 105.675$ annual income (all other things being equal) 105k$ would give you a comfortable living in 100% of the world.

That isn't accounting for inflation though is it? You'll be losing buying power for the rest of your life if you're constantly taking the full 9%.

Sure. If you spend 8.806$ a month on random shit, then your fortune doesn't increase. But lets say you spend 5k$ (which is btw still a very high amount anywhere in the world), you're actively becoming richer, day by day, from having nothing else than your investments, also beating inflation while at it.

lul you know solar panels pays off no earlier than 10years and after that you will probably have to buy new ones
2021-10-19 17:42
You could drop a mil on a house, buy a 100k car (lotus for example), get whatever the fuck else you could possibly want, and still live comfortably for the rest of your life as long as you’re responsible with your remaining money and you don’t pay too high a property and car tax. You invest 800k (keep 100k cash and emergency fund), get sponsorships that maybe make you another 20k/year streaming or something, use that money for food and shit while getting taxed nothing. Investments grow at 7% annually and you’re set with ~60k/year to do whatever you want with.

2mil to not work ever again? XD what world are you living in Average wage of a normal person in Sweden is 2650€ so 2650€x12=31800€ early Let's say an average person works about 40 years so they'll earn around 1 272 000€ in their working career (and now we talking about a normal person that needs to pay bills every month) see, we are not even far off I mean it's alot of money of course but they are not like SUPER rich
2021-10-17 22:14

So you wouldnt be able to live on €2777~ tax free per month for 60 years? €2m is already a lot more then the average swedish joe earned by working in their entire life, BEFORE taxes, vat, rent etc. Buy a house for €500k~, invest some money, don't overspend money and live a normal life. I could easily be set for life with €2m i don't need a useless lamborghini.
2021-10-17 22:52

You would, living in förorten paying 400€ and saving money on food and never buying a decent house or decent car etc. Would you want to live like that for 60 years if u had 2 mill on ur acc? and you say "BEFORE taxes, vat, rent etc." well that's where like 50%-70% of our salaries go lol 'set for life' for me is doing exactly what you want, when you want, without the concern of saving money. 20 mill SEK is not enough for that in Sweden
2021-10-17 23:58
1 reply
No? I just said i would buy a house for €500k and have a loan free house for myself far away from förorten, invest some money and live life normally. Sure more money is nicer but 20M sek is more then enough to not work a single day in your life. Most people dont even have close to 1M sek saved up from working their entire life, let alone their house loans fully paid off etc.. Maybe for you 20m into your bank acc is not enough but most people could only dream of to have that because we're taxed to death and 70-80% of our salary goes to tax in some form, rest goes to consumption and living in general.
2021-10-18 04:37
The money is worth more because they’re young. Investing the winnings is key to long term financial safety. If they invested 1 mil right now and assumed a 7% return compounded annually they would end up with 7 mil in 30 years when they could feasibly take money out without getting taxed (depends on country of course). If the 7% ended up being 10% that number becomes 17.5 mil. This isn’t some measely number. This is practically guaranteed financial safety for the rest of their lives. Same goes for cs players winning millions.

The thing is that your lifestyle changes when you get that much money and if you are not using your brain when dealing with finances, you can easily go down the drain and end up fucked. And there are plenty of examples, in pro sports for example. But otherwise yeah, 2M is completely enough if you use your money in a smart way.

$1 mill could set you for life, invested well in property you could earn 5-8% yield so $50-80k per year, enough for a comfortable lifestyle. If you have no housing costs you can live off 20-30k a year very comfortably.
2021-10-17 21:43

the money went to the players first, then the players "loaned" the money per contract to the org. The org tried to open a LoL division but that failed, which resulted into wings members not getting any money edit: nvm I checked the statements, they complained about the 40% prize money cut (which is ridiculously high) but that got changed later to 20%. The reason they left was because their salary didn't get paid for 2 months due to the org which tried to open a LoL division. LoL division was a flop which resulted in entire org collapse
2021-10-18 23:54
there was a case during TI6 where the org (Wings Gaming) takes all the prize money from TI prize pool and the player got away emptyhanded. But pretty now rarely the case.

This mans knows #14 Strange things happened, lgd would win game5 with simple Ame Sven pick or other else but instead they go Tiny in 18milj decider game? Even LGD knows if they fuck up that snowball early lead they are gone. And no, its not their best strat for sure, its one of the best strats LGD invented in dota by themselfs but to say Tiny+Lycan best strat for lgd is dumb because they have probably a lot strats up to their sleeves sad they didnt showed nothing new

TB would love go against Sven more than a tiny. The best thing about tiny pick was he has a great status resistance against all those stun + skills combo to burst through cold embrace. Sven is all about hit heroes, easy to kite. Ench was a questionable pick.

LGD plays around enemy team very well +if some heroes provide vision, with that i mean what TB would do if Spirits supports are dead? I still choose Ames Sven than Tiny in late game cuz you know; sometimes its not about heroe itself but player behind that heroe. I agree about tiny but that wasnt good idea to bring that strat to decider game 5 but thats just my opinion. They could go with something simplier but okey, congratz to Spirit, they showed whole TI very good teamplay. Yes, Ench pick was horrible and one thing just stuck in my mind - why tf they didnt ban magnuss in decider game when collapse with mag gave every other team headache.. That was PSG "we dont give a fuck about 18mill" LGD attitude :)

Probably get over confident after game 4. I mean it's fine u gave collapse Magnus as long as u know how to counter it like on game 3. Also skywrath is very questionable pick too. U usually combo with axe/BM. They have 0 proper stun to combo it with sky ult. Man u just can't play dota with no stun. Lol. As far as I concern, if TS pick tinker on game instead of invoker, they won 3-0 lol

Maybe yes, but why to do it if you can lift aegis after all these years.. I just dont understand. I understand idea behind Sky, all that silence and other small things, there was better options to choose, in my opinion you just dont pick it to your one of the best support players(XinQ) and like you said without stun.. yea, stuns wins games for sure without them you cant really do much vs spirit draft in game 5. I saw those lgd picks, after sky was picked i was like " is this really gonna end like this ? " and knew instantly they will not stomp TS to win that game. Still LGD is by far most completed team right now even they fucked up once again.

Yeah tbf I can't really say any of LGD players underperform or have a weak side. I hope they get aegis next time but it's gonna getting harder and harder cuz TS just give some big copium to any other teams who dream to win TI lmao

Yeah, they clearly dont have weak link for sure i just hope that next TI they will not be such a favorites to win it all maybe thats the reason why they cant make it. My prediction was 90% correct that lgd will be in finals but i expected china vs eu and probably if secret would get in finals , team like lgd would stomp them for sure. This year whole eu teams didnt perform well, i guess next year we will see some bangers from sea, eu for sure aswell. Lets wait one more year xD

csgo could easily go to this high pricepools. Most of the pricepool is generated by dota2 community via virtual tickets, loots and stuff. Csgo just needed SOME lootdrops for Majors and it would easily be +10 Mio. (which would be sick tho).

Are you kidding? Of course, this money is enough to provide for a lifetime. 1. Start a business that will generate more money. 2. Buy real estate and rent (passive income) 3. Develop the media, receive funds from advertising and sponsors. 4. Invest (risk, but there is a chance to earn even more) 5. If u have a brain, u dont waste/lost ur money, but if u r braindead/poorbrain person, u will lose all you money And yes, for Russia/Ukraine, such money is very big and will last for a very long time. I think the guys from team spirit do not suffer from celebrity disease and I will not go the next day to buy a lamborghini and penthouses.
