I meant PC specs. You don't need to upgrade monitor right now! Forget about it at all !!!!

get better cpu, ram, motherboard and maybe a better psu
2021-10-18 18:50
that old Athlon is your main problem, you should go for a new cpu, mainboard and ram before wasting money on a 144 Hz screen with only 40-60 FPS. Try to get an older Ryzen or Coffee Lake cpu, like a R5 2600 with a B350/B450 Board or something like an i5 8400/ i7 8700 with a B365 Board combined with 16 GB DDR4 3200 or more. If you find a used upgrade kit you can get those bundles for ~200€

i recommend AOC C24G1 (it's 144hz, 24inch, a bit curved display, but it's very nice) Me and 6 of my friends have the same monitor and we are all very happy with it so... i can say it's good monitor (price is around 190€ i think)

your current monitor already outperforms your system, 144hz monitor with 40-60fps wont change anything

you don't need anything above 75hz if you only have 40-60fps. First, spend your money to improve your PC. Higher fps > Better monitor.

You need a better PC before you buy monitor bro
2021-10-18 16:32
bro upgrade pc first won't matter that u have a 144hz monitor if you play at 60 fps max

focus on saving for an improved computer. a high refresh rate monitor works based on the framerate you achieve in game. If you keep this pc, a high refresh rate monitor will be of no use to you

my monitor is DELL U2412M 24" and i can recommend it it is 1920x1200 resolution, 60 hz, 8 ms, obviously SHIT for competitive gaming BUT before typing some hate comment here, answer yourself few questions: 1) are you going to be a pro cs gamer? 2) if 1) is no, are you going to save your eyesight for future? 3) if 2) is yes, don't look for better "gaming" monitor, look for better monitor in terms of image quality, eyesight fatigue (idk how to name it but u get what i mean) from reviews, materials quality, assembly quality, etc

u need better pc before monitor. Goal should always be to have double the fps than Hz of ur Monitor, and right now a new monitor wouldn make ur game run faster but just look nice on ur table
