tier 1 is top 20 except some tier 2 teams
I think Liquid > G2. Anyway they got better potential
top 15 ish is tier 1. gambit and navi are just dominating tier 1
Tier 1 = all sponsored teams that can get to top 8 (current top 15 with exceptions for teams like cph flames who are Tier 2 but on a good run atm, and Furia who are on a bad streak but are Tier 1 despite being 18th)
Tier 1.5 = all sponsored teams that can reliably take games off of SOME of Tier 1. (Teams like Entropiq, Spirit, ForZe, etc.)
Tier 2 = mostly sponsored teams that can take “fluke” games off of Tier 1 (bottom half of the top 30: teams like Dig, Sinners, Movistar Riders, MAD Lions, etc.)
Tier 3 = somewhat sponsored teams that can take “fluke” maps off of Tier 1 (teams like Nemiga, K23, AGO, Mouz NXT)
Tier 4 = unsponsored shit teams
Tier 1 isn't two teams it's the top 10/15 at the very least and generally the whole top 20.
Tier 1 doesn't mean who is playing the best neccesarily. It's a combination of play, org, pay structure etc. EG is still a tier 1 team despite sucking donkey dick for example.
So yes 1-10 as of today the 19th are all 100% tier 1 teams. and teams behind them like VP, BiG, Mouz etc are also tier 1.
so tier 1 is just two teams?
gambit is tier 1 even tho they have failed to beat vitality in their 2 games facing them, good logic
liquid > nip, heroic, g2,vp, ence
top tier - teams winning events
tier1 - regulary in play-off tier1 events
tier2 - getting on tier1 events but getting out of groups regulary
ence tier 1.5? because they play well for the past month?
I know this may sound stupid to some of you but well known teams with well known pros in it are the highest tier :D
So what I mean by that?
Na'Vi G2 Nip Gambit FaZe Vitality Astralis VP and maybe Heroic = T1
ENCE and the rest already tier 2 or lower, even though they might be better right now than let's say G2 lmao
Top 30 tier 1/1.5 for me but that's just my opinion
Gambit is not a Lan team
They need to prove it on man, to be considered tier1
Tier 1 teams are basically teams that get always invited into S tier tournaments
All you did was writing the hltv rankings good job for the hardwork
T2:dark horses who can beat T1 teams
Hahahah wtf here people are taking about "TIER 1.5" 🤣🤣🤣 AND yeah so there is like tier 1, tier 1.25, tier 1.5, tier 1.75 and tier 2
Not my way of classifying teams.
All your T1 and T1,5 teams are T1 teams imo. Just some are tittle contenders and some aren't.
speaking of lan performance, last time gambit won a notable lan was krakow major. Also it was 4 months since they won an online event aswell, unless you would call cis rmr notable.
Top 3 = tier 1
top 10 = tier 1.5
top 20 = tier 2
top 10-15 is tier 1 atm imo because of how shaky it is between 5 and 15 right now
15-20 is what you call tier 1.5 where they're on the cusp of becoming a tier 1 team
20-35 is tier 2
That's all super rough tho, better way of looking at it imo is Tier 1 means competing with the best teams at the best events constantly and looking competitive there consistently. e.g. I'd definitely call FaZe a tier 1 team because they're always at the best events and always look competitive there, but I wouldn't call CPH a tier 1 team because despite looking pretty good at this most recent event, they haven't consistently been performing at that level, similar story for ENCE but imo they will definitely be considered tier 1 after the Major, they seem very good, but it's impossible to know for sure
there is no fucking tier 1.5
Tier 1 is the teams that regularly enter tier 1 events. Simple as that.
I would say it's top 10-15, title contenders
Using your method, Liquid HAS to be tier 1.5
