Lebanon iAintGotNoFriends
I use deodorant and shower every day but armpits still get sweaty and sometimes stink (but not that much) Why?

Have you tried shaving them? Usually helps with odour and sweating.

Try it more often, as soon as stubble appears. Also try changing your deodorant, sanex or rexona have good ones!

there is a treatment with botox you can use, but i don't know much about it

Deodorant doesn't prevent your armpits from getting stinky, it just masks the smell, and neither does shower. Shaving reduces sweating. Antiperspirants block sweating completely but they are bad for you.

shaving increases the sweat, the hair helps absorbing the sweat

I had a similar problem, but with my hands. It came out that I had a thyroid problem, I take medication and the problem went away.

Are you using the right deodorant? Just making sure you know that normal deodorant do nothing to prevent sweat, you need to use ''antiperspirant'' deodorant to stop sweat.

#11 Wouldnt recommend using anti-perspirant

Make sure your armpit is very dry before applying any deodorant, look for the ones that are "clinical", and for the odor i would recommend you to stop eating red meat, that's what worked REALLY well for me. good luck

deodorant and showering doesnt stop you from sweating because sweating is supposed to happen to remove acids and toxins from your body. But if your sweat smells really bad, its likely a sign that you need to drink a lot more water, and/or de-tox your body somehow. could also be #8, so unluko if it is

armpits getting sweaty, mom's spaghetti, it's ready... but on the serious note - assuming you're a teenager, talk to your moms, she can take you to a doc and they'll tell you more following some medical examination of your sweat glands.

"He’ll just at him like I’m a moron" ? You're the one worried about your armpits, not me. A doctor can examine your sweat glands as I stated before and suggest a treatment. I am amazed that I have to explain this to a 23yr old. If it's not that serious and you just wanted to know if people have the same issue, you could have googled it tbh, but yeah hltv forums.

You need anti-transpirant which includes aluminum. Nowadays many dont have it, because it probably causes cancer which is another stupid lie to keep people in check.

Same here and it's very annoying

Antiperspirant is what you need, as said already, stops sweating Deodorant does not affect sweating, it kills some of the bacteria in your armpits and masks the smell they generate. Deodorant also washes away easily. Antiperspirant basically blocks your sweat glands and kills most of the bacteria in your armpits. You get dry armpits, but the white stuff (aluminum chlorohydrate) stains dark shirts and is harder to wash of. That aluminum stuff is used also for water purification (and approved by FDA and EU/SCCS), and there is no conclusive scientific evidence that aluminum chlorohydrate or antiperspirants are carcinogens and cause cancer or Alzheimer's, as is often believed. Of course it has also not been conclusively ruled out, that very long time daily use of antiperspirants could cause some risk.
