need new keyboard mens))
 |
North America minte
hello hltv mens and menettes)) i am looking for a new keyboard because in a fit of gamer rage my L key has seemed to have stopped working. but i've always wanted a nice "enthusiast" keyboard to replace it anyways. im looking for a hot-swappable switch keyboard so i can replace whatever shitty cherry mx comes with it with some nice novelkeys switches. anybody have good opinions on which ones? i was looking at gmmk pro but it's a reddit keyboard and QC is shit. i also liked keychron q1 but they are sold out until december i think

Questions to make while buying a keyboard: - how much am I willing to pay for it ? - full size or not ? - extra keys for media, etc. ? - which kind of color switch is the best for me and which one fits what i'm willing to pay ? Now gather all keyboards that passed your requirements and watch YT channels comparing them all and buy the best for u.

i've already answered these questions, im just garnering opinions because im not that versed in the keyboard space. i am waiting until black friday to purchase anyways

I suppose the Logitech G Pro X would be the choice if you want hot-swappable switches. New switch kits are like $60-70 or something, so I hope you dont mind forking out like $200

I like my Logitech G Pro keyboard, they also have switch swappable version, but I don't know which switches go to it.

I got the G Pro less than a month ago and its a solid keyboard. The only thing I dislike is the software. Idk how to stop my keys changing colour when I open CS.

When you go to G HUB lighting control you need to press the lock icon next to "lightsync" and it will use same profile in every game.
2021-10-23 21:21

It is locked but still in CS it does this thing where all my lights disable except asdw and a few others :(
2021-10-23 21:38

Then I don't know sadly. Sometimes some games have access over your lights like BF2042 beta did with mine and they will have some preset effect, and I had to disable it from G HUB to get back to normal. Has never happened with CSGO, but maybe that is what's happening?

yes apex pro switches are very nice, but i really like aftermarket switches like nk creams. i also like swapping them out and testing new switches

idk why you would prefer those when opticals are literally the best, there is no scratchiness because they are not mechanical. but whatever you think, and i understand the hotswap. get the keychron or gmmk or gmmk pro or buy an xd87 hs from kprepublic

I HEAVILY recommend checking out this site: drop.com/mechanical-keyboards/drops The site often offers special deals, so you might get something cheaper the anywhere else. They also usually have some lesser known models or custom design, that might be interesting. I cant really tell you which exact keyboard you should buy, because thats mostly just preference. Enjoy :)

What do you use your volume roller for? I feel like it wouldnt give me enough precision about the volume because eg im really used to play CS at a certain volume, so I need the buttons to manage it.

Might I suggest something alternative - the IBM Model M. It is no longer made, so you will have to find it on EBAY or similar however there is nothing that comes close.

If you want a cheap and compact china kit, the Kprepublic BM65 is pretty decent. Kprepublic in general has some really good options, just remember to order on AliExpress and not their website.
