These viewers are not real, you can divide by 10. Still solid numbers just not that insane

Of which only brazil and parts of europe are actually interested in csgo. And some in NA but the times are hardly watchable.

There are more than 500 million people in china who play video games. csgo in china had 100k average players in 2019, nowadays that's probably even more. The first major in 2 years, you can bet your ass that everyone who is slightly interested in the scene will be watching it, especially with Tyloo attending

Yeah also many Chinese games are being hit by the government. Like for being "Too-gay" and that's not a joke Literally biggest chinese game has already been in serious conflict with them. So not surprising many are playing a game that's safe. Also playing video games is also limited in china to what, 2 hours a week for below 18? But viewing is not prohibited if i remember correctly.

Numbers are probably faked. That’s why it’s not included in the total numbers

Why are they fake though? Who is doing that

Games in China used to commonly be licenced out to Chinese companies that would then manage the game I think CSGO is similar but I can't remember who manages the Chinese playerbase anymore but if it's still a Chinese company they probably have to justify holding it quite a fair bit so manipulating viewer count isn't far out of the question, especially when it happens in EU with FP basically viewbotting over the faceit platform

It’s perfect world, seems strange still
2021-10-28 01:17
My understanding is that it’s basically just a “look we did something better than you” sort of thing even though they actually didn’t. Classic China tbh

Yeah but Chinese companies are notorious for doing stuff like this for no reason. They seem to be under the impression that it’s a dick measuring contest

+1 I agree. Typical Chinese lies.

Blast finally a major yes))) scared for match times if it’s in Oceania/east Asia
2021-10-28 00:47
I mean it could be just by Valve, let's face it 2019 ti was awesome But yea, ESL, Blast both good organizers, yet Valve have to pick eleague or pgl for a first major hosted after 2 years. The only thing about this pgl major for me is graphics, the trouble with streams are annoying af. Kinda mad about Rio, if I'm correct that should've been hosted by the esl, that would've been great and I know you'd enjoy it too behind the scenes. Edit: typo

That's awesome, but I guess it's too much to hope it will be major :/
2021-10-28 01:04
I'm going to assume that 1 million viewers on a stream would be more realistic still a lot of viewers...

the entire website? dont you think they have bigger priorities?
2021-11-03 09:52
recently chinese people weren't allowed to play as much if u are under 18, so maybe they just watch the game more now instead..

Apparently some got peaks with 100 mil in 2018 so prob not
2021-10-28 01:23
If im right the multi million number is amount of interactions, basically for the main stream would be same as amount of twitch messages sent

Chinese viewer numbers are never reliable, cuz of bitting and other forms of fuckery. Wonder if the real figure is even 1/20 of that
