what happened to device? When he was in astralis, he was probably the best CT side player of 2018-2020, and now he literally doesnt do shit on CT side of any map

Well that's to be expected when you have a major change in roster, he played with the same guys for years and the same core for even longer. Hampus is also a very different igl from Gla1ve Different org, Different country etc. etc. Many things can influence your play.

NIP lost that match because they are too dependent on Device doing well Same issue with NAVI in 2018, Current Vitality, Current mouz and Current G2 etc. One player underperforms the teams sinks. That's why you see so many upsets these days.

Look, in the match against flames it was hampus who did all the heavy lifting to get nip through, so I was expecting device to step up when needed. Everyone understands that current nip rely on the core of rez, devve and hampus carrying the game, so someone had to step up and carry in the crucial moments like niko did it for g2.

We could swap hampus and hunter, and it would be a much closer game, but now I just hope that they swap lnz with someone capable of playing t1 cs. No offence to him, it's just that his skill gap is too low for t1. But again, everyone can't play t1 cs, it's okay.
2021-11-05 15:49
I mean, mirage doesn't help. It's his worse map, anyway - nip is playing very poorly tonight. This was expected. G2 is looking stronger and nik0 is delivering so, ggwp Hampus is lacking strategy, he has insane aim and opens the map to the team, but when it comes to strats it's lacking a bit :(

+1 I dont like Hampus, I am not going to comment on him. but including Hampus, Plopski and LNZ are not a reliable 3rd option. I am still okay with LNZ as he is still fairly young guy with potential to develop. but without a 3rd option NIP is not taking the top spot with Hampus, Plopski and LNZ unreliablity and REZ, Dev1ce carrying them
2021-11-04 23:27
0.95 rated on inferno if mirage is your excuse cope harder

Na, I think its just REZ and Dev1ce who are strong. LNZ is young so maybe in few months he will be a formidible option, but right now, Plopski, LNZ and Hampus are the most inconsistent trio. If even one of them plays well. NIP wins the game. if neither of them play wll. NIP loses with REZ and Dev1ce carrying the shit.

true but from what i can see nip is built around hampus getting entries and so it doesnt help device getting picks. in astralis it was about the team play more than relying on one person to get the picks and start them the round

GOAT doing GOAT things. Making it to playoffs. Though GOATs supposed to carry and WIN, not just participate in playoffs. I mean he had huge support from teammates in Astralis, he was never carrying them alone really. Even if the others would underperform, the system was there to help him do his best. NiP neither has a system, nor strats, nor reliable players. I'm not saying his performance isn't disappointing rn but there's a lot of factors that influence it.

Hes a very great fragger and lurker, but as an IGL he sucks. there is no excuses for having a 29% T Side win rate on 11 maps played, having 4-11 and 3-12 halfs everywhere, and then throwing away 11-4 Round CT Half and only getting 1 round in the T Half.

I Mean NiP being top 2 were due to IEM Fall, and since it was LAN they got alot of points because of it. the toughest opponent they faced there was Vitality, and then Gambit losing to 0-2 to Copenhagen Flames in a tournament that no one cares about made them lose alot of points and that made NiP #2 but with this performance im kinda doubting it

youre actually intelligent to admit and aknowledge that they didnt meet any strong contention and IEM fall brought them there but still IGLing was correct thats what got them to be strong enough

Yes IGL was good at IEM Fall, problem is most of the games they won recently was them starting on the CT Side and getting strong CT Halfs like on Inferno they 13-2 Vitality, 14-1 Astralis and all of that is on the CT Side and they just needed 3 rounds to win. whenever they started on T Side they got completely destroyed with 3-12, 4-11 and 5-10 halfs on T Side

That's what happens when you were fairly rated in the past, but in the present, just an overrated washed-up player. People still expect quality from him.
2021-11-04 23:26
that's no excuse for device but device always wants to play counter-strike like it's supposed to be played as a team game. but nip is simply too weak and he had to go out of his way and play more aggressive to compensate for the lack of experience and firepower of his teammates but he did not do that, or maybe he was not allowed. you can compensate a lack of firepower with textbook counter-strike based on great team play and communication but it's useless if the opponent is not only better individual but also as a team. they had no chance in bo3 vs good teams and even vs copenhagen flames it was very close. overall a lot of teams like nip, astralis showed a very disappointing performance. the level of counter-strike in general at this major matches the production quality.

if hes above his teammates then why he couldnt carry let alone carrying he was rated lower than plopski in nip vs g2 lol

It's obviously easier to have good kd when ur team destroying everyone and losing much less rounds in general, like u haven't played cs before? +confidence is through the roof when ur team is that good

Guys, it's really hard to be the best when you play among players who actually have lower skill than you. That's the reason. And I'm not even a fan of devve, put s1mple in tier-2 stack and it's gonna be tough for him to play at his level because of overall level understanding of the whole team.
