mousepad brands matter?

Looking to buy new mousepad, currently have Logitech G640 and the mouse im using is razer mamba elite. I found some cheap mousepads from razer but a friend warned me they are knockoff razer and not real. Does it matter tho? Is the quality any different between random chinese brands and brands like logitech and razer? Also i found these cool mousepads ebay.com/itm/294286704608?_trkparms=amcl.. They pretty cheap like 20$ and really big from China tho. Can i trust this to have good quality? Or should i just play it safe

If it's a cheap chinese knock off of a razer or logitech mousepad, the quality is probably worse. It's better to go with something that (hopefully) lasts a long time instead of buying new stuff all the time.

Okay but how can you tell if you buy real or not? Like when i go to my local store for example, how can i make sure? Or when i buy online too

If it's a large trusted store they probably don't sell fake stuff and real razer or logitech often have manuals, support links and similar. Fake stuff might not have that.

only a few and we dont have many online stores because its a small country. bta.bg/en/c/DF/id/2484359 and as you can see ppl dont use online shopping here, so its hard to find a lot of stuff

what you mean by that?
2021-11-23 13:53

different mousepad models matter, brand doesnt matter. like if dacia made a s class it wouldnt (or shouldnt) matter and especially in mousepads since the stuff from the mainstream is usually trash same with mice or there are just better options
2021-11-23 13:58
but in your case it would matter, what i meant by that is that if for example trust made a mousepad exactly like qck it still would be good and brand wouldnt or shouldnt matter. the knockoffs there will be a difference and they will be trash, and dont buy those big mousepads from aliexpress, they are very slow after time and hard to clean and rip

a mousepad is a mousepad but yes it will likely matter as they can use some random shit fabric with poor quality. idk if you machinewash

Well I can't exactly confirm, but their price is not too far from original Steelseries qck mousepads but are a bit cheaper, and the seller also sells Glorious mice so I think they're original

a friend just bought a weeb mousepad for $18 70x40 I will wait for him to test it and check if it really matters what brand and at what price point you buy and then i will make my decision
2021-11-23 14:17
the cheap chinese ones are fine at first, but wear out pretty fast. IDK man, I can usually find good clothpads from like kingston, xtrfy etc for around 25€ in the local electronics stores and u can actually usually feel out the surface there. Might wanna try those :()
2021-11-23 14:00
my approach to choosing mousepad was to get something affordable and good quality ,also it must be widely available. So i chose steelseries qck which you can buy in any country for cheap. There are much better mousepads like artisan or whatever which is not that much better than qck but costs lot more and ever much more hard to find.
2021-11-23 14:06
Just go Steelseries QcK, good old SS always delivers

ebay.com/itm/293149219780?_trkparms=amcl.. but when they selling 70x40 mousepads for only $20 which is way cheaper is it even worth it going with Steelseries which is just a black mousepad and smaller? Yet at a higher price
