will NAVI era last?
 |
Lithuania ZipZap
Will NAVI era live long enough - meaning will they dominate everyone like they do now and win second major in a row? Leave permanent mark on the internet and make a guess.

i mean no offense with that Navi lineup nearly any IGL could improve but it's no secret that A the sole reason they won this Major is replacing Flamie and B that as of rn Boombl4 by far is their weakest link if they could get a Prime Zeus holy shit this team would really tear up Csgo It's sad that people look at Zeus and think of the Memey player instead of the IGL who won 4 straight Majors in 1.6 and won a Csgo Major with a team of Randoms a Prime Zeus rn Navi would be virtually unbeatable

A rare sight to see on this site, someone that truly appreciates Zeus and his IGL'ing skills, guy is only known for being a meme "olof" player but his peak is just way too amazing.

Zeus was nasty as an IGL, my only concern is how he would play around s1mple's need to be unpredictable, which has contributed to keeping NaVi where they are now.
2021-11-30 09:07
It's a shame this is a rare sight because this guy truly was one of the greatest of all time you can make the Military comparison of a Good General can win a battle with a strategic advantage but a Great General is one who can win when the odds are against him leading an outnumbered force to victory in a battle this really is the story of Gambit Krakow 2017

I might be damaged, but when will vita announce their new roster? they were talking about last dance on blast, but we have IEM in a few days, then 1 day break and blast finals, both attended by vita there is no way they gonna change it in this period, literally 0 time to practice

watching the way they played their nuke against vitality and mirage against Heroic , i dont think so that they can have that era, They need CT side starts to win the match. and if they dont then they mostly lose the map unless it is nuke ,thats the only map where they have good t side.

G2 monesy unproven in tier1 and on LAN. plus they will have to switch up many things Astralis won't get anyone knew as they will keep that roster, so no good AWPer Vitality with Astralis core .. lmao bound to fail Gambit + Heroic onliners
2021-11-30 09:04
depends because I dont think they are that dominant, they can lose a lot more matches than Astrali s did back then in 2018 but they still might get better
2021-11-29 08:36

Gambit themselves said that the match was irrelevant lol. It was s1mple's birthday the night before, and he woke up one hour before the match without even having practiced (source: interview at PGL major. You can see it on YouTube) Lost once after winning 20 in a row (last 7 months undefeated). Okay.

Also the win on nuke was fueled by Vitality's need for revange, they knew they can't take navi down. But they can take down what navi struggled to achieve surpassing Astralis.
2021-12-02 13:19
Era doesn't mean u have to win x tournaments in a row without losing single match. Look at astralis, they lost 4 tournaments in 2018 after winning the 1st one, in 2019 they lost 12 tournaments.

i think navi will face bigger problems for the next few events like Blast Global Final and IEM Katowice 2022 because every team is studying them right now, and Vitality has already stopped their winning streak on nuke, so they have to have better strategies to play in order to last their era long, although they have the best individual talents among all csgo teams right now. I think the new Astralis will become their next rival, and Gambit, G2, and Heroic will also become better when they are against Navi. However, I still hope Navi era can last long like the Astralis in their prime time.

Blade is the person who wouldn’t allow that to happen tho. He said if one of the interviews that they need 7-10 days to rest, and then they would show their maximum game. Also blade should be making new strats, or changing the current ones. With that said, I still think that competition should, and will be greater in 2022

Navi looking unstoppable right now. Navi showed that they can be mortal on some maps so the most I see is them being upset a few times.

yes it will
2021-11-29 12:40

2021-11-29 12:48
It's impossible to know for sure. A lot can happen in the next year. Also, keeping that high level every map, match and tournament is more difficult than what it seems. Many teams seemed untouchable in all sports until they suddenly started losing for various reasons. My advice is to better enjoy it while it lasts as you never know when it will end.

what are you even arguing about? basically i said if navi just uninstall the game toady, and wont play and more matches, prior results would not be enough for me to call it an era. (like liquid 2019 run) They need few more good results, but, pretty much a guarantee its going to happen and you respond with yes but astralis also lost games sometimes

I don't see that happening with boombl4 unless he significantly improves his calling. If they got Nafany at the helm, then that would be a different story. If NaVi at some point are forced to make roster changes then boombl4 is the first to get the boot.

if they extend it a bit it will be sort of an era but the reason of their success is what you said - every top roster is in shambles. g2 is the only non-onliner team (not dissing onliner teams here, but they need time before becoming contenders on big stages) that had a stable roster for a while and they actually did really bad over last months

Hard to tell given the "era" only started the moment B1T joined the fray and the online-era sort of plagued any kind of consistency in tournaments/big events... I think it is very possible but is obviously too soon to tell.

very few teams managed to stay fresh and focused while being at the top, so far this navi roster wasn't really tested with off server issues, individual drop offs etc. I am curious how good they are with solving problems, be it in game or out of the game.
