Grandma Covid
 |
Poland Neo[T]orius
My 79 yo grandma got covid. She doesn't believe in vaccine, I was holding my breathe when I heard the news thinking it was just a normal fever. The thing about my grandmother is she doesn't drop the ball in supplements and always eat healthy alternative food rich in minerals and vitamins. Didn't even affect her for some reason. My aunt who she had gotten it from was the same but as she didn't maintain a healthy diet it affected her far worse(shortening of breathe). Thankfully both are okay :D

Ok let me try this way, here is a report from a Danish hospital ward (Google translated): nyheder-tv2-dk.translate.goog/samfund/20.. They tell how they currently have four Covid19 patients from ages 24 to 40, all people that were otherwise healthy. Now they may die, or if lucky they will live only likely suffering permanent damages to their lungs. They also describe how when elderly patients die, then often they are at peace with while it is something very different for young people.

You need to read what you link. Yes, the virus as such in a vaccinated that has had a virus breakthrough and a unvaccinated is the same so just as contagious. However for someone to be contagious they must be infected and if you're vaccinated the risk of you being infected is much lower.

"Yes, the virus as such in a vaccinated that has had a virus breakthrough and a unvaccinated is the same so just as contagious." i have some dizzyness after trying to read this. Can you explain please? science is starting to show the risk of infection is higher in vaccinated people than unvaccinated; medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.11.24.2.. this has already been shown through epimediology; riotimesonline.com/brazil-news/modern-da.. Compare cases in Gibraltar to Sweden and you will see 100% vaccine uptake is really useless
2021-11-30 02:13

Here is my understanding. If two persons are infected with say the delta variant, if one is vaccinated or not doesn't change the virus it changes the bodies defense and if the body has good the defense this then limits the amount of virus but not the virus as such. Vaccination has two effects, it makes people more resistant to being infected and it makes for those infected to get less sick. As time has shown especially the resistance to being infected is lower after some months, so this and also the fact no vaccine gives 100% protection to everyone means a place like Gibraltar is seeing a spike in cases. Fortunately the drop in protection in getting sick is much lower, so while infected those vaccinated get sick at a much lower rate and less severe than the unvaccinated. If you look at he numbers from Gibraltar they have like 2/3 of the cases they had 11 months ago, but is opposed to back then there isn't daily deaths or even close. Much of the world is in the process of giving those vaccinated 6+ months ago a third booster shot, that shot helps people not get infected in the first place and also make them even more safe from getting sick if infected. And this then also helps those not vaccinated since fewer infected makes for fewer that can spread the infection. I hope I explained well.

This is silly - the vaccines are not made by putting off the shelf ingredients in a bowl and mixing. Besides what does it matter - they have been tested, approved and literally billions of shots has been given. People don't know what is in the fast food they eat, they don't know what chemicals went into the gaming chair they sit in for hours... and they don't need to since in this complex world of ours experts and rules and laws make damn sure it is safe. People need to stop being silly and coming up with stupid excuses for not getting vaccinated, non of them are rational and it just makes those making excuse pathetic egotistical nutters. The only valid exception is those few individuals suffering from something that makes their immune systems unable to handle a vaccine - those few people are part of why the rest of man needs to stop wanking and get vaccinated.

2021-11-29 12:17

Exactly. """HIV""" hasnt killed anyone. First of all, HIV and AIDS is different. HIV is the vírus that attack your immune system but doesn't kill you. AIDS is a condition in where the HIV as progressed só much that putted immune system to a levels where he can't defend you against infections. When you die of AIDS, you don't die "OF" AIDS, you die from any infection or desease (the flu for example) that your AIDS condition didn't allow you to defend from

Yeah, but this doesn't change that Covid was responsible for many deaths. You may call it a desease of the sick, although I disagree in this point because in my opinion too many healthy people died because of Covid to call it like that.
2021-11-29 12:41
5 replies
I called it desease of the sick precisely because the vast majority of deaths are of people already sick (1 or more comorbilities) But of course that healthy people can died from it. In Italy, official Numbers from the Italian NHS released early this month Said that 4k healthy people died of covid in the last 2 years (136k were people with comorbilities) Its like the "deseases of the poor"/"desease of poverty" that are connected to poverty. Of course that anyone can suffer from them but are called that way because its more prevalent in poor people

Agree. However the levels of dangeroursness of Covid varies if the person is healthy or sick and of course Young or old. Its very dangerous for a old and sick person. But quite harmless (not 0 of course) for a Young healthy person I would argue
2021-11-29 12:58

Here is the question how you define "dangerous". I would say that Covid is also dangerous because it causes young people to suffer hard. At least for two of my friends who had Covid (age about mid 20s and healthy) had some serious problems. One of them couldn't smell or taste even 5 months after the infection and the other one couldn't even leave her bed, because she was so weak, after two months. I really don't want this to happen to me.

When you have a car crash and hurt yourself, the wound get's infected and you die because of that, what did you die from? When you have cancer, get a chemotherapy and then you get something else your body can't defend because he is weak, what did you die from? You survived all these things for them alone, but in combination it killed you. There are people who were already sick when they got Covid, but could have survived it. In the end it was the combination with Covid what killed them. So yes, Covid killed them.

Do you realize that 140k italians died even we put the world on lockdown for some time, people had to use masks, sanitizer, social distance, vaccines...if people did nothing because this is just a flu, like some baby brains think, deaths (only in italy), will be 10x those we have by now. It's simple maths and common sense. Imagine you catch cancer tomorrow and you don't even know, what do you think it will happen to you if you catch covid at same time? I guess nobody will care according to your vision, since you'd be already an "ill guy" not healthy enough to deserve to be alive...

Many people also didn't die because of this, but was registered as such for the reason of human ignorance, greed and agenda. f.ex. US numbers are bloated, because the Fed offered a grant to process any corona patients and deaths, to the world famous Private Hospitals of USA. Of course any and every possible death was registered as covid, as long as any of the diagnostic symptoms were present (Like those of "fatigue" "exhaustion" "ill sensations", which surely are EXCLUSIVE symptoms to covid. There never has been a near dead person who wasn't fatigued;). This way these hospitals abused economically the situation. Of course it was all part of the plan, to have people think the virus is more deadly than it is.

Maybe this happened, but there are still more than enough people who died because of Covid. Some of them were already ill and Covid just made them die earlier, but also a lot of them were healthy and died regardless. And on the other hand it is not all about people dying. Loosing taste or being unable to smell for months or years is really bad. There are also many people who suffer from fatigue even months after the infection. This is bad enough to be worth it fighting against Covid.

yes if 3% of the population who were counted as a case died the world would have ended, that would be seriously catastrophic. luckily the mortality rate is 0.04% same as a flu who.int/bulletin/online_first/BLT.20.265.. bmj.com/content/371/bmj.m4425/rr-31 "Professor John Ioannidis of Stanford University, quotes an infection fatality rate (IFR) for Covid of 0.00-0.57% (0.05% for under 70s), far lower than originally feared and no different to severe flu [3]. My classmate's great grandmother with 102yo lived together with 4 people that got the virus and guess what? She didn't get the virus or she was asymptomatic. Nevethless I know people who died from covid with 1/3 of her age. But i'm glad your family is okay.

Even from known tested covid has 1% death rate. Imagine how many people had it and didnt test. Probably the vast majority of people on the planet already had it. So dont worry.
