Prime Astralis vs. Current Navi

Why Magisk is wrong in saying that 2021 Navi won't beat 2018 Astralis 2018 Navi had 8 wins vs. Astralis and Astralis had 6 wins (4 bo1 and 2 bo3 vs. 3 bo3 and 3 bo1) So basically Elec and s1mple were able to beat them at their Prime (with edward and zeus), with the current Navi roster they will go to town on them. The odds will favor current Navi, to put it differently, if they play 10 bo3 today Navi will win 7 at minimum (just my educated guess based on data) Yes, in terms of longevity Astralis are in its own dimension, and should never be compared but in terms of Team Peaking and keeping it that way for a good portion of time, Navi beats Astralis What we are seeing with Navi is not remotely the same as with Prime Astralis, in the last 6 months, Navi has lost only 6 series, and only to TWO teams. 5 of these losses are to Gambit and 1 to BIG. That's W-40 vs. L-6 in 6 months. In the last 3 months, it's just 1 loss PS. disregarding the gap that is in overall CSGO as it is played today compared to back then or 2021 Astralis in comparison because Astralis has 0 wins this year vs. Navi.

The gap isn’t as big as 2018 vs 2015 but yeah probably

the big gap will favor astralis even more, if 2018 astralis played current Navi I think it will be considered an upset for navi to lose

2018 astralis changed the landscape of the game 2021 navi is just firepower tbh, they have 5 players who can frag, something no other team is currently able to field because they put together retarded rosters besides simple and maybe electronic they will eventually have to play worse, meanwhile astralis could win games based on tactics even if half their players shit the bed lol respect to navi tho for dominating the scene while its at one of its weakest periods kekw

Wait, let me find a thread comparing current Navi to astralis

Nvm, couldn't find it. Basically, current Navi will beat Prime Astralis. Any of the top 10 teams will. The whole cs scene has literally evolved to compete with Astralis. Every single tier 1 team knows every strategy prime Astralis used to win in their past. Prime Astralis incorporated team play, invented nades and tactics in a period of time where the nade Meta was introduced-which was why they dominated all the other team. They innovated a whole new way of playing cs. However, they have since fell off. Think about it this way-if prime Astralis was so good, why did they drop off in 2020? This is because all the other team started to catch up with Astralis, they stopped innovating and they lacked creativity. All of the other teams also started to incorporate teamplay and strategies like astralis where else in the past it would be like a pug-style match where teamplay was minimal and there was no nade-stacking and tactics to the level of Astralis'. All the teams literally evolved to go against Astralis and to counter each and every of their tactics. If you were to put prime Astralis against current Navi or Vita, either of them would destroy Astralis. They know every single strategy prime Astralis performed, meticulously studied each and every play they did and most importantly, they have the demos from the past to learn from their mistakes and learn from Astralis. You can question about their dominance but in terms of the skill of teams-any of the top 10 teams would be able to go against Astralis. The world has changed.

"The whole cs scene has literally evolved to compete with Astralis. Every single tier 1 team knows every strategy prime Astralis used to win in their past." same is going to happen to navi.. it happens to all the teams who are top1

Exactly, you're right. This is why I said that current Navi would beat Prime Astralis. It happens to all teams that are top 1

Eventually another team will come along and counter Navi and then the entire cs scene will evolve to go against NAVI. Some navi fans would eventually be like some of the astralis fans in this thread... Arguing that Prime Navi would beat that day's top 1 team- but the times have changed. Circle of cs

You could say the same about Navi, they are changing the landscape... Other teams are trying to match the firepower cause tactics are not doing it for them vs. Navi... In any case, the argument is not about who did what for the game meta and so on, it is about 2018 Astralis facing Current Navi in the server And the PS note is there as well
2021-11-30 16:11
+ it's during a time where every team are making changes in their lineups and most of the teams trying out youngsters (Don't mention b1t, he joined a well working team, that's not the case with the once I mentioned, those youngsters are put there to turn the results around = too much pressure).

and in 2018 teams were not making any changes, or 2020 or 2019, this phenomenon of teams changing lineups is only unique to 2021? that's the dumbest reasoning ever... other teams are making changes because they can't beat Navi even though they are in the top10 or top5 HLTV teams. in the last 6 months only two teams have been able to beat them

Just look at the scene, I can't mention a single team with WOW-factor the last 6 months. During Astralis era there were plenty of those teams and still they were dominant. 2018 Astralis was way better than 2021 NaVi. They haven't even started an era yet, so stay calm in the boat.

what you wrote is dumb as shiii because Major was LAN and the biggest event of the year and those two teams both made it to the semi-final and the third team :P to the grand final ok, I think we dragged this one long enough

kinda proves my point which I refered to: that the scene is so bad in general right now, which sadly takes off the glory of navi a bit. Got it now?

your point is based on a fantasy in your head
2021-11-30 16:43
my thread has zero mentions of era! why are you trying to take it to somewhere else? It's simple analysis, 2018 Navi were able to beat Prime Astralis (even more than their losses) current Navi will obliterate them

Okey, sorry for the era-part, that's on me (my point was that the era-part makes this comparison non debatable). And once again, sorry for arguing with you, I just saw that u signed up 2020, ofcourse you'll be blinded by NaVi 2021 and can't relate to 2018 cs :)

so you didn't add anything to the discussion :P you couldn't refute any of my arguments which are there with the data and made (another) half-assed comment

I genuinly asked? If u're only argument is that just 2 teams beat Navi in 6 months, then I can counter with that 0 teams beat Astralis for a longer period than 6 months = I win this discussion. Hence my comment, what are your "data" that you're talking about (genuinly can't find it).

that's one of the arguments, yes and if you could show 2018 Astralis with that kinda unbeaten record you beat that argument and the second argument a very Bad Navi was able to beat them repeatedly at their Prime current navi will obliterate them and there is 3rd which has been disregarded because of Astralis in bad shape
2021-11-30 16:47
Astralis no question.
2021-11-30 16:05
Let's see if Na'Vi can actually keep winning

+1 if they keep at this winning at this rate it will be the most dominant era ever (not sure how to work-out the NiP early days in CSGO)
2021-11-30 16:14
Anyone who witnessed 2018 astralis knows that that's the highest level of Cs ever played. Navi will start losing soon

first of all, I am not a kid :p it would have been great to be one but unfortunately, I am not.... second I have zero such threads or comments about Nuke. and to top it off, since you and the others are not going after what I have shown with data in the thread but making some half-assed opinions and thinking it has to be the truth :p it makes my arguments even more solid :)
2021-11-30 16:34
exactly. to understand how good navi is, it is necessary to remember how difficult it was for astralis to win the 4 majors. after adding b1t to its roster, we didn't see navi go through a lot of pain. b1t was the last piece to be completed. there hasn't been a team or tournament that they haven't dominated since the day that piece was added. it's a first in the history of cs go that the new team is breaking records in such a short time. it seems that over time it will become even more impossible to beat them. because no one can hinder their growth rate.
