The aloe vera drink you buy in the supermarket isn't healthy.

Well depends on which ones you get, some of them are literally just like a still drink with added sugar and aloe vera and while that might be *healthier* than a soda it still isn't good for you with all that sugar. But there are also ones that are basically just water with aloe vera in them, with no added sugar. Again, I'm not *sure* that's healthy for you, as in you're better off than if you didn't drink them, but at the very least it's better than drinks with sugar. EDIT: Although for the water ones they're probably not as tasty as Mountain Dew and Red Bull as OP said.

depends on where it's from...the bottled ones from Korea or Japan are pretty good, but some places in the US for example only have pure aloe vera juice. By itself, it's sour and bland

Many of the aloe vera drinks say "natural" while having a bunch of added sugar. It's not neccesary.

recommendation for aloe vera drin?
2021-12-01 09:11
Indeed it is not. I feel the flavor of aloe vera drinks with added sugar a little bit weird, but I cannot imagine the plain version. The possible substitution for sugar is honey I guess? Actually producing this drink is so lucrative. You just get a fraction of aloe off the leaf and mix with sugar water. 1.5L for 6bucks is kinda overpay.

Really good deal. Maybe the one I bought was less than 6. I will check next time.

I'd say the alternative to sugar is just a calorie free, sugar free natural sweetener. Something like stevia/erythritol.

2021-12-01 09:48
Delicious yes, but absolutely not healthy. Look up how much sugar is in there, it's insane.
2021-12-01 09:38
It has as much sugar as others sodas. Healthy my ass but it tastes very good
2021-12-01 10:53
Yes it is good, but not a big fan cuz lots of sugar
2021-12-01 12:04
people actually hate aloe vera drinks?? wtf?
2021-12-01 12:11
Nah it's very unpleasant to drink tbh, it have too much grume.
2021-12-01 20:50
haven't tried, but it's a hot thing in India
2021-12-01 21:28
i hate it. it gives me a headache
2021-12-01 21:34
I like it a lot yes, was quite obsessed with it for a while
2021-12-01 21:35
I tried it once. Taste wise it's ok but very sweet. What I didn't like was all the pieces of aloe vera in there though.
2021-12-01 21:50
even though i dont remember the last time ive drank aloe vera since its been very long, i remember always snatching a bottle or two when my family brought me to buy groceries. The taste is great even tho i cant describe it
2021-12-01 21:51
It's pretty good, but I wouldn't drink it all the time. Maybe good for one drink per day along with water.
