Is it me or everyone seeing a bad version of Twistzz of what he used to be in Liquid, Right now he is not able to stand true on the expectations people have on him being a star player, he is not able to frag mad like NiKo or S1mple or B1t or Zywoo, he has just become an above average player from being a star player and HS machine in TL

+1 I'm a massive Twistzz fan, but even NAF could have been considered more impactful in 2019. He definitely has top-3 mechanics out of any player in the world, but that's just not enough to be a star player sometimes

no shit he had to give space to elige who was already establishing himself in liquid before he joined, he still has what it takes to be the best NA player and a star just has been underwhelming considering the high expectations set for him.

Yeah, I would argue he showed he had potential to be a star player at the beginning of this year, but that was when it was really only him performing and they lost every match. I think he definitely has the skill to be a star player, not sure what it will take to get him there

2021-12-03 18:00
I don't think he was ever a NiKo level player. He's always been just shy of being one of the top players. I think he's been really struggling with some of his positions on Faze and I'm not sure what's switched around since the beginning of this year when he was hard carrying I love Rain and Olof, but I think with a switch out to young talent (+Yekindar +Ropz please), he might be able to find star form Then again, we've seen before how too many stars can destroy a team. Time will tell I guess
2021-12-03 05:18

But in that team, they need atleast 2 guys popping out hard in order to compensate for other teammates bcz olof and karrigan and sometimes Rain can't get hefty frags

yekinder is on a contract and frozen and ropz would be free Karrigan - IGL/Entry Ropz - Lurk Broky - Awp Twistzz - Star Rifle Frozen - Dual Entry/Anchor

That's a decent team. I think if Faze are willing to shell out the money, Yekindar should be #1 because of his relationship to the team (specifically Broky) But you're right with Frozen being the most cost-effective

and the ropz-frozen-karrigan connection is fully tested
2021-12-03 06:16
Personally, I think 4 star players and one bait wouldn't work, so I would do that: Karrigan: IGL/Support, not 4v5 maker Rain: entry, going first for twistzz/ropz Twistzz: rifler Ropz: Lurker Broky: Passive awper that can get aggressive.

2021-12-03 13:45
That's why he left liquid as he wanted to change roles now he plays higher sens
2021-12-03 18:22
I think I may agree with my comrade above. Twistzz seems to work best when he's called upon to be the second or third star in a team. Even in 2019 people would complain about him disappearing at times. He also showed up huge at times and they won finals because of it but he wasn't as consistent as Elige or NAF and he's never been a super high impact player even at his best. He really shouldn't have left and I imagine deep down he knows this as do NAF/Elige themselves.
2021-12-03 05:19

maybe he needed a change atm, but that did'nt work well for him
2021-12-03 05:20
I think leaving was the best decision for him overall. It was clear from the HLTV confirmed podcast he did that he was simply unhappy with the team chemistry and they weren't really friends, and at that point it's definitely best to find a new home Even if they're not doing overly well, in really glad that it seems like Faze have great chemistry (from karrigan's vlogs at least)
2021-12-03 05:24

I mean I agree that they were probably unhappy at the time. But I think all those kids need some perspective. They won a lot together and if the goal is to keep winning the idea is to keep your eyes on the prize and go with the horse that has the most potential to actually win. Being a part of maybe the best rifling core ever was his chance to win the most. In fact you can't really re-create that core anywhere the pieces are just too expensive and it was kind of a once in a life time thing. In other words NAF, Elige and Twistzz all should have gotten over themselves and played nice. Also realized it was the middle of covid and it would end at some point. Now if the goal isn't to win but just make a shit ton of money off CS, bang your German girlfriend (or whatever she is I don't know) and coast then fine. The sad thing is they had the potential to be one of the greatest cores of all time.

the chance passed when Nitro left bro. Then adding grim and fallen after, what a fucking shitshow by liquid management Thye needed an AWP/IGL that fit their style, and the only one who could ever do that was Nitro. Then add the fact that he was never really happy with the spots after stewie joined, being forced into more anchor and support roles, and everything around the team, not doing huddles before matches and so on. He stated HLTV confirmed that he wasn't happy with his spots, he wasn't happy with the vibe, the management, and wanted to live with his girlfriend. Liquid post nitro weren't even winning NA events, so idk how you can say that if he wanted to win, staying was best lmao.
2021-12-03 13:12
Faze as a whole, isn't living up to expectations. It's got a lot more than just fragging out on the server. I'd say Faze needs the correct pieces to help unleash the potential that Twistzz always had. Ofc he's not a Niko, s1mple, zywoo, etc. Nobody matches those 3, but he's up there as well. Just need a bit more consistency, and better teamplay.
2021-12-03 05:20
1 reply
Yea, atleast he needs to perform like he used to do in TL days, he averaged an 1.15-1.25 ratings in 2019 and 2020(early) in a team where there were 2 good fragger, now in a team with only 2 young fraggers and only 1 with rifling, he must pop off otherwise this Faze is gonna fail very soon
2021-12-03 05:23
well he probably had a lot more confidence and could take a bit more space in TL, faze doesn't seem like an easy team to just jam your own style into.
2021-12-03 05:22
Fun fact Twistzz is the first Na player to be on Faze, an Na based org
2021-12-03 05:40
as a twistzz fan something i notice ( i may be wrong ) is that his godlike aim only truly shines when he's under pressure like a clutch or stuck between enemies he seems to be getting caught offguard or not peeking at all when playing with the team i think they should either make him full entry or full baiter ( like broky ), middle of the pack is clearly not working for him for the brief stint where coldzera was IGLing, he popped off every game and coldzera did say he was gonna try his best to set Twistzz up karrigan has been changing shit every month and his consistency has slowly declined I hope they give him a role where he can play as aim dependent as he wants and not have to constantly change his mindset playing with two equally good riflers all his life who seem to have had more authority over the team has made him very team dependent

You know you have a good team when Twistzz is your second or third star-rifle-player. If he is meant to be your hard carry superstar, then I think there are roster changes needed. Especially when you have someone as up and down as rain on the team and olof, who though he does do a lot as far as comms and roles for the team is nowhere near good enough to compete with other players in his role. FaZe need a guy like a NiKo, k0nfig, or ropz who can just take over games and win on their own, because Twistzz will shine when he is amongst other great riflers.

2021-12-03 12:21
Nobody was expecting him to be a superstar player (nobody should've been anyway), in any case, he's playing a lot better than he was at liquid post Starladder. Whether that be down to his role in faze suiting him better or just a better environment for him to deliver in twistzz he has more star potential than, at least, I was expecting.
2021-12-03 12:26
you are very delusional if you think hes gonna have zywoo/s1/niko level performances lol
2021-12-03 12:54
He had a good team around him in 2019 liquid, in FaZe it's basically just him and broky in terms of consistent fragging output

Against BIG he had 50% opening kills attemps on T side and overall he play quite well - it's impossible to shine on CT side as a connector player while you have this liability on A - Rain is the worst player in the world rn and on T side Twistz has to deal with Karrigan call's so you can't really expect 2.0 ratings from this guy anymore
2021-12-03 13:34
He needs a good teammates everybody u mentioned up there have a good teammates and they have a team with a good structure not an igl whose tside calls are shit and he cant even get a 0.70 rating per match Let that sink in

Twistzz is not good enough to a contending team's star player unless the rest of the team is extremely strong.
